BaghdadsHere....Man I am really pis*ed at you. How dare you not include me on your list. I stand shoulder to shoulder with the first seven names on your little list. We are the true patriots. That means we love our country but have the guts to say that the country may be wrong about something when we feel that to be true. A true patriot is not afraid to speak out even if others speak against him.

neoconism...You are right. All this started with Ronald Reagan. He was the one who wanted to de-regulate everything and look where it has taken us. But you are right...Clinton''s BJ is the real cause.

Statement from President Bush: "There is nothing to worry about. This is really not a problem. I''m still filthy rich."

It goes without saying that BaghdadsHere is re.tarded. But is he not aware that his Beloved, the "war prezdent", LOVES China? Bush SOLD our country to China to fund his stup.id war!

And Cuba? You''ve GOT to be kidding! That tiny little island resort, the one where we stockpile and torture all those "dangerous al qaeda" peasants from Afghanistan-- THAT makes the top 10 list of enemies?

Here''s a clue for you, BaghdadsHere:

THE NUMBER 1 ENEMY OF THE UNITED STATES IS: STU.PID PEOPLE!

It is stu.pid people, like you, who provide the support and encouragement for the evil people, like Bush, who seek to destroy this once-great country by dismantling the Constitution and stealing the country''s wealth.

Cursed, fuel cells are still not ready for prime time. They are expensive to manufacture, temperamental and too big for cars unless you are happy at about 55 mph with small ones. Also, the hydrogen is not readily available.

Honda''s solution is you buy the car and the H2 "refinery" which makes it out of natural gas. You are still confined to about 150 miles so - no trips.

Only self-deluded dictators and fascists believe in the concept of single individuals as being "enemies" of an entire country. Maybe we need some good ol'' purges, like your hero Stalin would do.

TELL ME A MORTGAGE LENDER THAT HAS 2.25 %

The 4 to 5 percent interest difference in the actual mortgage market helps pay for the Foreclosure Losses and the Bank CEO retirement plan. COME ON, SOMEBODY HAS TO PAY FOR THIS BAD DEBT, CORPORATE AND GOVENMENT CORRUPTION - It sure ain''t going to come-out of the CEOs pocket.

How is it that no news media paid any attention to the semi truckers slowdown/strike which began yesterday and supposed to continue for the next four days? Maybe the diesel fuel they use in one to four days would affect the price? When diesel fuel has risen much more than gasoline....Why? Is that another side effect of the wars being waged? Last July 17,000 Mexican truckers were given authority (via NAFTA) to roll the highways......as it became known that plans were going gung ho for the Superhighway with lots of toll roads in Texas. Some say we can''t leave IRAQ because our economy will collapse.....better take a closer look at our back door....our future economy will collapse if we no longer collect tariffs on imported goods coming direct from China. And, does anyone believe that once we are enslaved to this idea of CHEAP goods that they will remain cheap and available?

The people tried to send a message in 06 to their leaders but their ears were plugged. The truckers are in just as dire situations as the people who are being foreclosed out of their homes. This is a trickle up situation which has been caused by the trickle down effect of high, high oil prices.

If only our genius scientists could come up with a NEW relatively available source of energy. Just like to interject a lighter thought to this situation.

This country is in deep trouble. We (our governmnt)are spending way beyond our means, we owe obscene amounts of money to almost every other industrialized country in the world, and we have a certified moron in charge.

We now have, because of outsourcing, a service, rather than a manufacturing based economy. We manufacture almost nothing that we use in our everyday lives. We do not even produce enogh food to feed ourselves any more.

The question is not whether there will be an economic collapse, but when. How long can the money manipulators continue to prop up a failed economy with smoke and mirrors? Probably at least until the election in November, but after that, who knows?

Unless our government takes drastic action, which going by past performance, it will not, hope for the best, but expect the worst.

Liberals are not your enemy, they are your brothers and sisters with a different opinion than you on some, but not all matters. Those who tell you that liberals are the enemy are themselves the enemy. They''''re trying divide our nation and pit brother against brother, and I''''m curious as to their motives. You should be too.

I love all these rantings about ''liberals'' ... you RINO''s guys are so clueless. You spew out Rush Limbaugh''s drivel because you are so stupid you need to be told what to think. You''re blissfully unaware of the things that are going on around you, let alone how you''re being manipulated into hating more then half of the people in this country for no other reason than what you heard from some rabid maniac on Faux News. You just don''t get it. You don''t want to get it. You just want to keep believing the lies so your make believe world doesn''t crumble and you have to face reality. Liberals are not your enemy, they are your brothers and sisters with a different opinion than you on some, but not all matters. Those who tell you that liberals are the enemy are themselves the enemy. They''re trying divide our nation and pit brother against brother, and I''m curious as to their motives. You should be too.

noloyalisti,

As sad as that is, I am inclined to agree with you. Our culture has lost much of its work ethic, values, and moderation in politics. We certainly could use some of that again and a nice recession may help with not taking these prosperous years for granted. Keep up the good analysis!

I think an economic collapse would be good for us. It would teach us not to let religious freaks who are in favor of fascism take over a government. It would force us to stop consuming like there is no tomorrow (actually there isn''t if we keep it up). It would teach us not be sheeple and let the rich run over us and the rest of the people of the world.
