As I read the comments posted each day on this and other sites I see a very odd thing happening. There are so many complaints about bush and the republicans and the the way they have driven the country off a cliff. Lots of angry people. But what I see happening in the real world is a shifting tide of people who, although they are unhappy, intend to vote for McCain. As the democratic candidates continue to beat each other into a bloody pulp, McCain stands to the side and is starting to say just the right things. It is starting to look like this may be one of the easiest victories that the republicans have ever had. I just am mystified by all this. If everyone is so angry about the economy and the war why vote for the exact same thing? I hate to see my party self destruct but there is nothing I can do to stop it. I don''''t mean to be pessimistic but there it is staring me right in the face. This is total insanity but America gave bush another 4 years knowing full well what he was. So maybe I shouldn''''t be so surprised. I might add that it is democrats, I think the last number was 20%, who are going to desert their party if their candidate doesn''''t get the nomination.

Look at other indicators too. The state Republican parties are in trouble big time. The Republican fund raising is way behind. And McCain gets his Cheney caught in his zipper daily...

What an idiot....our currency is crumbling, and he raids the coffers for one final buy-off.

Here''s a question for all of the Republicans who like to throw around the "tax-and-spend" stereotype about Democrats: what''s worse, tax-and-spend, or spend-and-spend?

Now the American people know that the U.S. President can be an imbecile, drunk, drug addict, and a international criminal, the world will not touch him because fear (he controls the nukes) and corruption (the worlds'' governments are all rich w*h*o*r*e*s. Surely, the Biblical Beast has raised (this can only last for seven years . . . then the Beast shall slander it own with absolute authority).

I saw George 2nd. Say 2weeks ago that the rebate check will help offset the decline in housing market values. Great my house is 100k less then a year ago so he thinks 300 bucks will help. I now understand why he was a failed businessman.

Only the right wing says this will help the economy. Most of this moneywill go into savings or paying bills not back into the economy. We''re saving ours for the next time bush says "the economy is strong".

What an idiot. Same old tax cut/rebate as the Reagan era. The reason for this is that Bush hasn''t got an idea or an inclination to fix this problem. That''s what America gets for electing an idiot to lead them.
