Female Professor's Lawsuit Dismissed Based On School's 1st Amendment Religious Rights
- Its hardly surprising to be reminded of what and evil, bigoted organization the Southern Baptist convention is. This is the same "church" that was founded for the express purpose of defending the so called biblical justification of slavery. It is the same church that went on the support white supremacy and segragation, and oppose the vote for women all based on the alleged commandment of God. It is fairly described as the KKK at prayer. That these twisted little monsters continue to find biblical support for their hateful views is hardly surprising. That they have 16 million members demonstrates how far we are from being a civilized nation.

- I have a few things to say about this travesty.
To begin with, March is Women History Month and once again, this is a perfect example of how some Men in our society continue to work towards repressing women.
And excuse me but haven%u2019t women been teaching our BOYS and girls for hundreds of years! Did these repressed hate spreading fanatics forget that??
The truth is this woman is being dangled in front of America as a warning to all Christian radicals not to vote for Hillary.
This is just an action to try and set a seed in the American people''s mind that a woman can%u2019t possibly be President of the United States. It is wrong and I%u2019m sure the judge who did this is one of them.
And don%u2019t forget the Bible was written by MEN folks! - Reply to this comment
- Or how about the crack pots with more than one wife. Are humans in crisis of extinction? It''s hard enough to find a place where they are not as it is. Has there been another super volanic explosion and we need to repopulate?
It is no wonder they don''t cover their heads anymore. Not much brain to protect or appreciate.... - Reply to this comment
- One of the hymns that I like is titled
"When we walk with the Lord" and it goes on to say "in the light of His Word" If we don''t believe His Word as it is written and given by Him unto us, neither will we abide with His Truth. Everyone wants to claim that they are a Christian (follower of Christ)but no one wants to live by His Word. People can find fault all that they want but will He find faith among His people when He returns? Nothing wrong with questions and conversation but remember He will have the last Word! You can get mad, you can fuss and fight, but if you don''t get right with the Lord, you will hear His Words (depart from me for I never knew you). - Reply to this comment
- The thing that''s more troubling and mind-boggling than the outdated thinking of these Baptist losers is that a judge agrees with them. If, instead of southern baptists, this were a Muslim group, I suspect the story would be given a great deal more prominence and it would be held up as yet another example of so-called "Islamo-fascism". But if it''s a bunch of dumb, hick, southern red-necks, it''s okay. They just be exersizin'' thar'' rites.

- This is too funny... Does this judge know that women can actually read and write. They can talk too... it''s amazing. I''ve seen some that can do math and even program a computer... LOL! Or are we to deny that for some more Karl Rove "create your own reality"? Then there is no way you can accept God then or God''s creation.

- Look how totally stupid you people are. The arguement is if a women can do a mans job? That''s a ... a... demotion...LOL! A man can never do a womens job. He cannot develop a child in his body. Being a contruction worker is more important that bringing life? ***?????

- Posted by Element51 at 12:14 PM : Mar 22, 2008----Your right. That is the genius of our Founding Fathers. If they would have established a "Church of America" like the Church of England, the bloodshed would have been unprecedented. It is one of the reasons I do not attend church. My back gets sore enough from working without someone sticking a knife in it ta''boot. I don''t think God is welcome in most of them anyhow because they''re acting like the ones he called a brood of vipers and white washed tombs. He never said for us to build a church out of sticks and stones that I can remember.

- There is no reason a women can''t do the same thing a man does as long as she can do it. But this whole arguement is insane. No job a man can do is as important as a women giving life.
This whole thing is to make you think backwards. - Reply to this comment
- jstovson...I don''t think anyone is trying to deny you the right to worship as you please. In fact, I support your right to do that as much as any of your other rights. The problem is that christians, not all but most, seem to want to control my life. If I dare to disagree on something I am called a liberal, hippy, socialist whiner. If I dare to state my feelings about gw bush I am called unamerican. I believe in freedom...yours and mine.

- "Ten women are among the seminary''s full-time faculty of 116. Only one works in the theology division and she teaches only women''s classes".
I just realized that CBS is so sensational and lies ... the report contradicts the headline .. like usual ..
PITIFUL !! - Reply to this comment
- Finally a judge who felt that a seminary can tenure who they want ..
This is just like all the unions that hold cities and towns hostage .. and no one has the guts to fire the employees who do not deserve the position ..
Good for the seminary, good for the public .. let her go to another university to teach .. there are thousands of them to choose ... - Reply to this comment
- a verse in 1st Timothy in which the Apostle Paul says, "I permit no woman to teach or have authority over a man."
I think when I go to work Monday morning I''ll tell my human resources department this and see if they''ll boot my female supervisor out of her position and replace her with me LOL - Reply to this comment
- Zealous religious fanatics come in all flavors. Here is the hell fire and damnation version of it. Again, the foundation of such zealousness to be religious is brought on by sheer ignorance and the inability to think for one self.

- What''s next? In Leviticus 25:44-45 it justifies slavery. Maybe corporations will fall back on those verses to defend using slave labor someday.

- Well I happen to be Baptist and a women, I do not believe I am treated like a second class citizen. In our Church we just believe the Bible. The Bible says your either for God or against Him, You can''t "ride the fence". Sometimes satin blinds people from the "truth". But everyone needs to know even satin bows down to God.

Just a couple...
All those who pray to Dubya must do at least five times a day while facing in the direction of Crawford TX
Speaking out against the Iraq war will be considered an act of heresy as it practically was in 2002-2003.
Oil will replace holy water during Mass. - Reply to this comment
- Again, the Baptist Church treats women like second class citizens-in the 21st Century, folks! But this is a practice that goes on in thousands of cultures, today. Religion is good to a point, but defrauds the rest of the way. Science has revealed gender differences quite clearly-and the real scientifically researched role of the male quite distinct and oh how they clamor to hang on to it! And to think we allow these religious people to impose their fantastic beliefs in their teaching lessons in school. The bible has lots of great "stories" and "stories" they are! Lessons should be rooted in scientifically research nature''s "truth" not gender controlled fantasies! But then, our constitution gives us unalienable rights to liberty and justice and we have the right to choose who will poison our brains and hearts. Suffer the little lambs who blindly and faithfully hang on to the prejudiced misguidance of the male authors of the bible! Most people lack intellect to discrimminate between common sense and whitewashed lies! Constitution on not are you going to be stupid enough to believe gender biased information that is not rooted in truth but rooted in lies? Remember you have the "right" to choose--stupid!
