You are right. We should have a full list of everyone a proposed politician has slept with before we elect them.!!!!!!

Then we could all be even more foolish.

The McGreevys in New Jersey still have the top spot, 3 ways, same s_ex trysts, and were animals involved? And these are the people we elect. So sad.

Should this be important to us???

If they were separated so what. It is not the same thing as Spitzer.

Spitzer was married and let all of us believe it was a great marriage. He paid for w-h-o-r-e-s, he did not have "affairs" BIG DIFFERENCE!!

If I were married to him, I''d charge him for services!!! As for his last s-l-u-t, she doesn''t deserve any attention for her disgusting self, or any of the other prostitutes he had!!!

frankly, i couldn''t care less what 2 (or 3?) people do behind closed doors. has america forgotten that fdr, lyndon johnson and john kennedy were notorious with their many ''affairs'' - but nobody talked about it back then; i think that''s the way it should be now. yes, these politicians making our current headlines are huge sinners - but that''s their little red wagon, not ours. i just want good and capable leaders to lead each state and our country. they can be as kinky as they want after hours - just be great leaders, please. and for heaven''s sake, ZIP IT UP DURING THE DAY!!!

Anybody else?
Now is your chance now that everyone is confessing.
Let''s just get this over with.
Last chance.

We gloat not because of the act. We gloat because you guys pretend to be so holy.

They ALL pretend to be holy ''''til they get caught. Every democrat that stands up at the microphone with his little wife and kids all smiley and glowing in the background and then gets caught with hand in the cookie jar is just as much of a hypocrit as anyone else who gets caught doing something wrong. Democrat or Republican. It makes little difference, if any, that the republicans try to make their success based on the "moral ticket" whereas the democrats do not. They ALL try to give off a Norman Rockwellian appearance to dupe the public regardless of their political affiliation.
And BOTH parties stand up and talk about family values regardless of political agenda because they know that''''s what a large part of the general public wants to hear. So, when they mess up...they''''re all hypocrits.
This couple has done a wise thing in admitting their affairs. Worked for me. If God and spouse forgive you, then a bunch of morons on a CBS news thread are not much of a threat. Kudos to people who aren''t afraid to admit what they''ve done, and I''m not a democrat.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". I respect and admire Governor and Mrs. Paterson for being forthcoming with their past and not allowing it to become a "millstone" around their necks while the new governor, who is widely respected by his colleagues, moves ahead with the business of state government. The fact that the new Governor and his wife were able to overcome and repair the damage to the marriage and get on with their lives is a testament to power of forgiveness and should serve as an example for all of us, especially those of us who know we have sinned but would not have the courage to do what this couple did. GOOD LUCK TO GOVERNOR AND MRS. PATERSON AND THE STATE OF NEW YORK. This from a person who lives in the "heartland" of our country--the Great Midwest.
