It''''s no big surprise! It always happens when the Republican''''s get in office. Reagan drove us into the ground too!

Also, it''''s easy to be optimistic when you know that in 10 months all of the kickback checks from Haliburton, big oil, Blackwater, etc, etc, are going to start rolling in.

easy to be optimistic when you learn how to take care of yourself and not rely on the government like you losers do

I know some people are having a tough time. I''m doing pretty well myself. I retired from a large corporation and draw a company pension and social security. Plus I have real estate and other investments. My wife takes all my income from those sources. To make money for my own I go into poor neighborhoods and do small home repair and electrical jobs for people on the dole. Lots of these folks don''t know a screwdriver from a pipe wrench. Couple of precautions: Try to wind up jobs when the government checks come, and take protection. I take a wino with me. He is tough as shoe leather and just needs a beer every couple of hours to keep going.

"The dollar fell, oil and gold hit record highs, the economy is shedding jobs, retail sales saw a big drop and the effects of a severe credit squeeze linger. Economic worries have replaced the Iraq war as the No. 1 concern of voters in this presidential election year."

And the president remains optimistic.

That''s easy to do when you''re born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and you''ve never had to work a day in your life AND you''re still filthy rich.

Also, it''s easy to be optimistic when you know that in 10 months all of the kickback checks from Haliburton, big oil, Blackwater, etc, etc, are going to start rolling in.

Finially after over 7 years of totally failed policys American''s are starting to take off the rose colored glasses and see bush and his administration for what they really are. Yet even with this golden oppertunity the democrates will still manage to pull defeat from the jaws of victory.

CBS quoted GW Bush as saying:

"These are uncertain times"

Sounds like an "uncertain" President.

GW Bush drove his own companies into the dirt - and now he''s driving America right into that same dirt.

Is his daddy going to bail us out?

Nope.

When you spend 28 BILLION dollars a MONTH fighting a War that NEVER had to be, that had NOTHING to do with the security of this nation, things like this happen. Go figure! Sieg Heil Bush
