it is a quote.
Since forever ago, newsrooms have become much more divirsified, the people who find the news may have their own agenda, but that doesn''t matter if there is diversity, which is a nationally required stipulation to employers. That mixed with the fact that it looked like a disappearance at first stirrs attention. And I don''t know if you went to college, but well, no one I know was shot and I was in the bronx. If you aren''t from around here, some would say it has the highest crime rate out of the boroughs in NYC.
but girls were raped, and people were held up.
They were white and attractive and they aren''t on the news. But it isn''t unusual that if you walk down the wrong street, people say you were "asking for it"
or "that''s a shame, but she shouldn''t have put herself in that situation"

I think I have made my point (shock value not-intended) This is indeed a terrible case and nothing can bring back the victim. I just find it unnerving that the national news puts extra emphasis and sympathy on one small proportion of the total population.

Take it somewhere else, Dr. I think you are relying on the "shock value" of your statements than the actual validity of your comments.

you call what happened to Lacy Peterson unexpected (husbands murdering their pregnant spouse is very common)

He said Holloway%u2019s disappearance during a chaperoned trip is unusual, and would have been heavily covered by MSNBC regardless of her gender or ethnicity.

people have not been disrespecting the victim here. I dont see the problem with our discussions of these important issues. this is not a personal shrine for the victim, it is a news site.
