- more law abiding citizens own guns than criminals. they are not the one committing crimes. the only way you can slow down the criminal is to prosecute that person to the fullest extent of the law. and if the law is''nt strong enough then make one strong enough. lets make criminal know the killing of innocent people will not be tolerated. a law should be also made that removes any citizens liability from injuring or killing any criminal that is in the process of injuring or killing any victim or toprotect their property. judges today also need to strip criminals of their rights while incarcerated. they have more rights than law abiding citizens.

- So you know as a matter of fact that access to guns was NOT a factor. Experts say the common thread is guns!~

What I know is this person wanted to kill her parents, the gun didn''t want to kill them. Any obsession to kill your parents is unusual and criminal behavior. Guns don''t cause that behavior, anger does. I grew up with a household of various guns and they never gave me the desire to kill anybody, ever. I certainly hope that''s considered normal law abiding behavior. - Reply to this comment
- When a snakeoil salesman insists that 2+2=3, is there any reason to listen? We all know better, and whether the fools believes his lies or not, we don''t need to waste any time trying to educate him.

- gunownerdan said "A gun is only as dangerous as the person holding it."
Most of the time the person holding those dangerous guns is a gun owner like YOU!~

A car is only as dangerous as the person driving it, and most of the time the person driving it is a car owner. Imagine that! We are really solving problems now aren''t we? - Reply to this comment
- The news report doesn''''t say if she had a criminal record before she went on a shooting spree!~

I guess I should clarify...this girl had criminal intentions (whether she has a record or not). That does not make her a law abiding citizen. - Reply to this comment
- I''m surprised that schoollord(?) is still on this story. And not on the other one yet.
