American Airlines Disputes Account Of Man Who Blames Flight Attendant, Faulty Medical Devices
- "I was just commenting on the person who said someone made the CHOICE not to leave...." Hey, at least you admit you were attacking/judging me.
NOW BACK TO THE SUBJECT AT HAND...I feel the airline SHOULD be prepared for a lawsuit. I know what it is like to deal with by-stands/family members from an EMS standpoint. I''ve been on the other side, receiving care also. It is typical for the patient, by-stander, family, and providers to all have different accounts of what is going on during such incidents, especially when what is really only a few seconds or minutes can seem like an eternity. - Reply to this comment

- First of all, thousands of people have pre-existing conditions jimmyc1955. My stance is this, if the airlines did indeed have faulty equipment that wasn''t working properly then they are responsible to some extent. Since the passenger and or family cannot leave the plane to seek medical attention, then they are at the mercy of the flight attendants and crew for their needs, medical or not. I was not there so I cannot state what did or did not happen, however you seem to be as adamant in your opinion as everyone else. If you truly feel that people should wait before rendering judgment, then you should follow your own advice.

What part of deciding that someone is greedy or selfish is not judging them? What part of saying the person deserved to drown because he or she did not leave New Orleans is not judging them? You need to petition the dictionary to change the definition of judging because I don''t think you understand the current definition. - Reply to this comment
- Well, it sounds like someone is lying. Who has more to lose? I think the woman that couldn''t breath has lost more than anyone else could.

I never said WHO WAS AT FAULT. I was just commenting on the person who said someone made the CHOICE not to leave. The very poor without money or cars, the very old and small children DID NOT MAKE A CHOICE. They had nowhere to go! - Reply to this comment
- "As I said earlier...it is any wonder there are fewer good samaritans in today''''s world considering the greediness & ungratefullness received in return?"
This is what you said. And, you do not not do good deeds because you think the person might be ungrateful or greedy. You do good deeds because it is the right thing to do. - Reply to this comment
- whatithink - The city of New Orleans had almost 100 school buses assigned to evaculate citizens who had no transportation. The mayor never authorized their usage. There exists footage of the busses underwater.
As to the levee''s the state wasted the money for improving the levees on other projects. That is a known fact.
Yes the floods happened but it wasn''t a fault of the federal government - the preperation to prevent the floods was the states - and they dropped the ball for over 25 years before Katrina. - Reply to this comment
- and at no point did I "judge" anyone, as you suggest.
BTW....the poster said "They thought that person was asleep not dead." NOT that they performs CPR because they thought the person was dead. GEEZ. - Reply to this comment

You have personally attacked other people. Have you been to New Orleans? I have been there to help. Many of the people who died were very old and children, THEY DID NOT HAVE A CHOICE! If you can''t take negative comments, then do not dish out negative comments. - Reply to this comment
