Nader helps Republican Candidates and John McCain and takes Votes away from Democratic Candidates by a 2 to 1 margin. Many will view a Nader candidacy as hurting Democrats again. Nader helped elect George Bush!

Posted by tbweb,

Yeah there is some truth to that. However, if the democrats tie McCain to Bush by using his voting record and making this election a referendum of W''s policies. The second issue is they need to properly address the mudslingers and force the GOP to debate the issues. The GOP cannot run on their record so the only way they can win is mudsling. Avoid that and they are finished regardless of Nader.

6 "Seeking Super Delegates" By Lindsay Renick Mayer
Sir, u are no different than most of other candidates except u market yourself as being more honest than others. U misled us-how much support are u really getting from lobbyists. In addition, it is Clinton who should be concerned about possible inappropriate influences by u & your team sir when it comes to Super Delegate votes. Also, sir, tell me when and where and how u voiced your opposition to Iraq war when decision was being made? U claim Sen Clinton voted for Iraq war. She (& other members of Congress) did no such thing. When Congress approved the Authorization for the use of Military Force in Iraq Pres. Bush, VP Cheney, Colin POwell, & others in the Bush administration LIED to Congress. Congress approved what they were told was a bill to allow inspections to t ake place in Iraq for weapons of mass destruction. What form did your opposition take Sen Obama? Only ''''''''early stage ''''''''Obama opposition'''''''' on public record is a statement u made during an anti-war rally held in Chicago. Why were you so weak in your opposition to the war when your voice needed to be heard when it mattered?

Ralph Nader said Sunday he will run for president"
Huraaah!!
It''''s good that he had a very distinguished career, but reality is really setting in now. Someone close to him ought to sit him down and say, "Ralph, do you want to be remembered for what you did to help American consumers, and do you want to be remembered as a wise man who built the U.S. Supreme Court and made hope for the American people had of ever taking back their government back from the greedy corporations now running it?"

Know when to say "now," Ralph. The people supporting your candidacy are vast. Do you think maybe they know something by now? Yes they say! Vote for Ralph Nadar in 2008!!

No wonder Nader scares you, he wants what the Democrats used to stand for. Face it, the Democratic Party long ago abandoned us. No wonder you are so scared of Nader.

There are 2 ways of looking at Nader, one way is in practical terms, as in can Nader really win?, in which the answer is "NO" and in idealistic terms in which case Voters who Vote for Nader will be making "statement Votes" knowing full well in advance their Votes will be wasted on a losing Candidate! Its well known that had Nader not been on the Ballot Al Gore would have defeated George Bush in the 2000 Election and would have easily won Florida as well. Nader helps Republican Candidates and John McCain and takes Votes away from Democratic Candidates by a 2 to 1 margin. Many will view a Nader candidacy as hurting Democrats again. Nader helped elect George Bush!

How about this Republicans! I bet you''re really proud of these FACTS!

During the Austin debate last week, Barack Obama made this comment:

%u201CYou know, I%u2019ve heard from an Army captain who was the head of a rifle platoon %u2014 supposed to have 39 men in a rifle platoon,%u201D he said. %u201CEnded up being sent to Afghanistan with 24 because 15 of those soldiers had been sent to Iraq. And as a consequence, they didn%u2019t have enough ammunition, they didn%u2019t have enough humvees. They were actually capturing Taliban weapons, because it was easier to get Taliban weapons than it was for them to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief.%u201D

Well, you had to know that a statement like that%u2013insinuating that life is not all wine and roses for our troops being sent for their third, fourth and fifth rotation into the Gulf%u2013was just going to make the wingnuts crazy.

ABC%u2019s Jake Tapper took a look at Obama%u2019s anecdote, and guess what? Pretty much confirmed it as true. Silly Jake, wingnuts don%u2019t care about the truth. But I give you full points for this little dig at the end:

I find that Obama%u2019s anecdote checks out.

Some are quibbling about whether or not the %u201Ccommander in chief%u201D can be held responsible for how well our soldiers are being equipped, since Congress provides the funding for the military, but the Pentagon (and ultimately President Bush) are in charge of the funding mechanism.

Bush''s only mission is to forever coverup all of his illegal acts - retroactive telecom immunity is essential.

Why are you afraid of Nader?? Why do you think people would ever vote for him?

There are a few numbskulls who will vote for this has-been.
Nadar went out with the Edsel and the Studebaker--I don''t think he''ll have any affect on this election.

grumpas said: "Bush appears to be more interested in protecting his big business friends than he is protecting Americans"

It is a multi-part strategy:
1. remove government oversight and regulation of corporations
2. take away the peoples right to sue or petition or protest so there is no peaceful path to resolving differences with corporations
3. pass laws in the guise of "terrorism" so that when people get fed up and have no recourse but to threaten corporations who are stealing from them, those people will be locked up with no charges and held indefinitely and not given full legal rights to defend themselves.

Look at the narrow margins with which Bush won in 2000. If Nader had only gotten a few delegates, he still could have thrown the election. This time around, it might be close between a guy who wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years and attack Iran, and one who wants to start getting us out of Iraq.

I firmly believe in having third party candidates in presidential elections, but not one who thinks we should outlaw fishing for chrissake!

Why are you afraid of Nader?? Why do you think people would ever vote for him? All the Democratic Party has to do is kick out the corporate lobbyists from their offices, refuse all PAC money, stand up for average citizens instead of help Bush to wage war and hand out tax cuts for the rich! All they have to do is impeach the War Criminal who sits in the White House.

But instead corporate lobbyists write the laws. Clinton gave us NAFTA. The non-Iraq post-cold war budget is $500 f***ing BILLION per year (more than all other nations combined). Instead we have endless for-Profit corporate health insurance. Instead we have outsourced American jobs, busted the unions. Instead we have tax cuts for the rich. Instead impeachment is "off the table". Instead we have Democrats who talk out of one side of their mouth, then DO NOTHING.

No wonder Nader scares you, he wants what the Democrats used to stand for. Face it, the Democratic Party long ago abandoned us. No wonder you are so scared of Nader.
