The republican philosophy: Skimp on money for education and food safety for public schools to pay for war and give-aways for companies like halliburton, kids don''t need learnin'' or to be healthy, they''re just pieces of meat to put in the grinder of Iraq anyway! And all so the aristocrats like Bush get to have a little entertainment seeing people die for nothing and the joy of calling yourself a patriot.

Alert to all parents: I recently was in a public school system in NM, where we have one of the worst education systems. The food provided to us was near inedible. Pack your kids'' lunch! I''m sure this story is the tip of the iceberg of the food schoolkids are provided at public schools, especially knowing how many times I got sick when I ate it. Demand better funding for schools and the school lunch programs so we don''t get our kids sick and intoxicated from bad meat!

Greed knows no bounds. Absolutely sickening. Justice is served by throwing this company out of business. As usual, there is a link to George Bush and the Iraq War.

A quick check by myself shows that the budget of the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the USDA has been slashed 30% over the last few years. Anyone surprised? Can anyone figure out why? Maybe to pay for the Iraq War?

This isn''t a matter of the USDA or FDA being lazy. Its a matter of Bush and Congress cutting back on the funding for inspectors. This is what DEREGULATION brings. We need MORE inspectors not less. And until each and every one of you and your friends and families start sending letters and emails to the idiots in Congress NOTHING is going to change. There just aren''t enough people to watch these businesses like they need to be watched. Make Congress change the way business is done. Email them right now and send a copy to everyone you know so they can send one too.

And what nationality were the perpetrators?

Keep letting the illegals into the country, and we''re only going to see more and more of this type of activity.

That''s it ,one mo porterhouse, and that it. No mo beef unless, raised locally, where we may monitor the raising of the animal, from birth to dinner.Buffalo is a excellent alternative.

Bottom line here is - if an individual or group participates in behavior like this, how do they treat other vulnerable people (their children, spouses, elders, etc.) and society in general? Think long and hard, because we''re seeing this type of abusive behavior everyday.

The thing is, are they going to make the company give back the money that was paid for the unusable beef? And for beef that was distributed and potentially unsafe?

Make these bustwards give back all that money...then put their corrupt arses out of business! Black list them from being able to accept any more government money!

They are obviously crooks who can''t run their business properly! Get rid of ''em!!!

so let me get this right the company calls the vets when they need them to inspect?it should be a law at all times that a vet or inspector be on the property if this beef is going to human consumption especially to our schools..I blame the usda and fda for being so lazy.Im tired of hearing they are understaffed,Get rid of all the old junk and bring in new,

"Officials estimate that about 37 million pounds of the recalled beef went to school programs, but they believe most of the meat probably has already been eaten." Great... So we''ve probably already eaten potentially contaminated meat. Thanks to the Bush budget which has reduced funding for USDA/FDA inspections and thanks to companies who put profits above human health.
