People KILL people, using any means they have. Knives, cars, drugs, bricks, baseball bats, rocks, WHAT EVER. If some one wants to kill, they will use what they can acquire to do the deed. The media gives these crimes SO much attention, that the next person with a mental problem, sees it and says wow, he is famous now, I am going to do it too! Should we ban a cars, knives, or better yet, baseball bats, because they might be a popular weapon of choice? NO. It is the ATTENTION the media gives to all things brutal, ugly and full of things to provoke as much public outrage and disgust as they possibly can. WHY? Because it SELLS. They keep referring to these MEN as children, which they ARE NOT. They are legal adults. We have currently have raised a bunch of now ADULTS, that we continue to coddle and treat as children. Quote:%u201Cthe 27 year old opened fire%u201D Look at the ages of the so called ''famous'' children making headlines. Spears, Hilton, etc. Yes, they are someones CHILDREN, but they are adults, who act like children, even tho they are closer to 30 than they are grade school. McVey took out almost and entire Fed building, using a u-haul truck, are they banned now? No. 9/11 killed thousands, and left an entire country stunned. Are planes banned? No. Guns don''t kill, PEOPLE do. The blame is solely on the killer HIM/HER self. Dont blame anyone else.

It doesn''t matter where he bought the gun - it''s the news media that''s giving him what he really wanted: notoriety. The news media thrives on death and misery and they help to perpetuate it.

I,ve been looking up stories on stabbing deaths in the US this morning, and found an interesting pattern: News reports NEVER indicate the type of knife, manufacturer, or place of purchase of the murder weapon. It might be instructive to know just how many deaths have been caused by Chicago Cutlery! There oughta be a law!

Just today on the morning news there was a story about an 80-year old man in Texas who used a handgun to save his own life after being attacked by two teenagers.

In Texas. Wow! How come that just don''t surprise me at all!! An Eighty year old man, too. Forgive me if I don''t respond anymore. I''m too busy laughing....

"Google" the term "defensive gun uses".
Guns are used all the time by responsible citizens to save lives and stop criminals.

Yer the one making the assertion, buddy...burden of proof is on you.... I don''t have to prove anything. You see, I''m wise to that little trick of trying to get somebody to prove a negative....
Oh yea, one more thing "DGU" ? Is that some sort of technical gun term, is it.

"If you never hear about ''em - then how do you know there .... there.?"

Because of studies by criminologists(some of them say DGU''s number in the thousands every day), the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Census Bureau.
The lowest estimate says there are more than 80,000 DGU''s every year in America and the highest say there are over 2,000,000 but more than likely the actual number is somewhere in between.
