You call being FREE having to be heavily armed!!? Wow. I thought being free was not having to be heavily armed, being able to walk down the street and sit in my home without worrying that someone was going to get me. Geez, how stupid of me.Posted by erasmus6

Actually, I am free to make the decision for myself, whereas YOU have no freedom to do so. YOU have to do as YOUR government dictates! (That''s really close to being dictator, isn''t it)!

And that must mean you have NO EDUCATION at all.

"This country is in fine shape, and getting better."

You are getting more delusional every minute. Where do you live, on a mountain peak somewhere? in a cave?

If you truly believe your country is in fine shape and getting better then you need some serious psychiatric help.

Posted by obamawatrmel There is no point in arguing with the ONE who shall remain nameless, He/She/It is too ignorant and insignificant to look at research, even when a link is provided. He/She/It claims only His/Her/Its data is worthy of being used, yet He/She/It refuses to provide any type of link or even the name of the "research" documents for others to view. He/She/It will tell you to "do your own research" and goes off on a tirade against everyone who has and posts support for their claims. He/She/It is just another PARANOID GUNBANNING LUNATIC and is unworthy and undeserving of anything except total scorn.

On the other hand, if you would like to see some interesting material about the TRUTH in gun ownership, check out this link.

Kirkwood, Mo is really a cool area (suburb of St.Louis). There are a lot of old restored Victorian homes, with well manicured lawns, cool old shops downtown. The shooter lived in Meaham Park, a mostly black area of Kirkwood. The City people are really particular about keeping appearances just so. If Mr Thornton was given numerous citations because he didn''t meet their expectations, they should have worked with him, some how. This is such a tragic incident. Prayers for the families of all the victims. Read more on KMOV.COM or KSDK-TV in St. Louis.

Schoolturd, you cite a DoJ study, then call into question their studies?

Obviously you are a troll and just looking to get a rise out of people.

Guns will always have a place in the U.S. We will always have a heavily armed population, and we will always be free because of it.

It is much more likely that nuts like you will be rounded up and shipped to Guam than it is any firearm will be confiscated from lawful gun owners.

Its a fact.

Your numbers suggest you have at best a 3rd grade education.

This country is in fine shape, and getting better. Soon the SCOTUS will put to rest all you fat Rosie Odonnel lesbians argument and real Americans will continue to dispatch scumbag hippies.

It is working as best that it can considering we have gun toting idiots for neighbors. 50 is better than 30,000!!

"If gun control is so strict, why is there any gun crime at all? You say "very little" who defines very little?"posted by thgdriver

What little gun crime we have, the gun used in a crime is usually traced back to the U.S. So if the U.S. didn''t have guns, we probably would have even less.

Well, I rest my case, every one of your loopholes presents a law that ""did not work"". In my state every thing you mentioned is already a law on the books that CRIMINALS don''t have to abide by. What part of criminal don''t you understand? Using your own words they obviously do not work.

How many are killed each year in your small town of the USA by automobile carelessness? You also failed to mention the number of lives saved by firearms, so your math is still nothing more then a whitewash of the truth.

The Brady law had nothing to do with criminals buying or not buying guns because criminals don''t buy guns in the first place they steal them. Thats why they are CRIMINALS!! Gun laws only restrict law abiding citizens from owning guns. What did Cintoon care, he has the secret service protecting him and guess what? They have guns!! LOL!

Then let me tell you what it is very wrong with your math. You have a GIANT greater chance of being a victim in a pool of 30,000 than 50!~

Posted by schoollord

I don''t know where you live, but damm, 30,000 deaths in your small town seems to be more of a war zone then a community of law abiding citizens. LOL

Do you think if the City Council had lost the case they would have gone to his house to shoot him?

Posted by schoollord

We''ll never know for sure if one person on counsel would have or not. Maybe one of them was a nut case too.

Gun laws don''t work, period. Someone mentioned Columbine, it''s been showed that the two students broke 16 gun laws that were on the books "before" they got to the school. So, I guess, according to some here, if there was 17 laws it never would have happened. How stupid is that?
