Absolutely correct. What he fails to understand is that our laws do not exist only for compliance, but also to protect the rights of the few from the tyranny of the many. - Reply to this comment

Actually, no. During the Clinton and Carter terms, there were several million coming up and crossing the border who migrated with the crops. They usually worked February thru November, then they went home, which was pretty necessary for our farmers. But for the most part, Carter, and Clinton enforced our immigration laws. It is the Neocons who have allowed them to stay for about 7 years now. - Reply to this comment
- I keep thinking if we took this money that''s going to be spent not just here, all along the border, and put it into the Mexican economy, we''d probably have people going back the other way.
John Stockley, Eagle Pass resident
What kind of Idiot is this? All we need is a bunch of nuts deciding to send more of our tax money to some corrupt government so our corrupt politicians can run down there and help them find a way to spend it.
Who were the first two names mentioned when Bush Jr. decided to send a few million dollard to help the Tsunami victims in South East Asia???? Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton..... What were they doing???? Jumping aboard a plane to South East Asia to help make certain that the funds were handled correctly..... What were the last headlines???? Much of the money sent to South East Asia never reached the people who needed it most, The Victims!!! DUHHH!!!! - Reply to this comment

- Believe me the temptation is great, I always have a .44mag on my hip, and out here the noise would bother no one.

If you have a nice shaded porch I have some things that can stop pretty much anything at long distances.
I too have stuff for up close and personal situations but not a 44mag...44mag''s put out quite a bark ! - Reply to this comment
- RowdyTexan,
So its just us"neocons" that have not enforced the laws? What did Bill Clinton do? Nothing. Jimmy Carter? Less than nothing. So blame it on "Neocons" all you want. This is not about party politics, its about preserving the American economy and way of life. I agree, enforce the laws on the books. I believe that is part of the Republican party platform on immigration is it not? What is the democratic stance? I believe they prefer to have more illegal immigrants since that somehow seems to boost their support base. - Reply to this comment

You should try immigrating in Australia, or Canada or any other country. They don''t let you in without money, and lots of it, period.
One of my hispanic employees whose mother brought her over here as a baby, just had to go back to Mexico and apply for legal residency. It took her about a month, and $3,000. That''s pretty cheap. - Reply to this comment
- RowdyTexan,
You have no credibility in my eyes or anyone elses that has any decency after that last post. First off, I am the furthest from a Nazi as you can possibly get. Got it? You''d better. Second, is that your best argument? Calling people names? Wow. Seems most people left that behind in second or third grade. Please try to stay with the issue at hand and not your childish name calling. It might have allowed you to bully your way through school since it was obviously not your intellect that got you a dipolma, but it will not allow you to bully me. Your words are but wisps of wind that fail to bend the mighty oak..Try to have a point instead of an insult. Maybe then you can be respected. - Reply to this comment

- The fence is a worthless wast of tax payer $$, yet another pandering move to placate the electorate while avoiding the real fix.
Intead simply arrest the CEOs, board members and company owners who hire illegals, send them to jail for 6-18mos and fine them 2 years salary.
Then watch the flood illegals scramble to cross the border only going the other way!! LOL - Reply to this comment

No, dear, I used to work for the Immigration Association in Texas, I have seen first hand what pesticides do to these folks, and I have been in the Colonias that they have to live in.
You have totally missed my point. What I think needs to happen is the Neocons needs to enforce our immigration laws, and stop allowing them to come in and be exploited, and force Ameicans to compete for jobs at lower salaries. Do you not read one thing I posted? - Reply to this comment
- "You obtain citizenship through legal channels. Simple isn''t it?"
LoL! Simple?! Oh, wow... if I had all day I''d sit and tell you how not even close to ''simple'' it is. I guess it''s simple if you''re incredibly wealthy. - Reply to this comment

Three-o-six...
If I were you I would get very proficient with a cross bow...they don''t make noise. Leave a few of the illegals belly up for the buzzards so the other trash can see what will happen to them. I would not let that happen to my land...I would have started to take out the trash along time ago. - Reply to this comment
- Of course Mr. Foster is proud of his town. He is the Mayor, he should be! He''s not telling you about the prostitution rings that encircle these peaceful little border towns, and the good ole boys that have used the illegal workforce for the last couple hundred years.
If he thinks the fence looks bad, he should come to my community and see what his little buddies from south of the border are doing to beautify my place, and improve the value of my property. Like the cars that won''t run setting up on blocks, and the houses with doors hanging loose from the hinges, and the yards full of *** they steal and haul in daily.
Build the fence, and if Mr. Foster likes them so well,,,, "Well, there''s always those two bridges heading south of the border that are open to him". - Reply to this comment
- Connapa,
Your comparisons are not even close. You are comparing the Maginot line to the Mexican border and the Nazi Army to illegal immigrants. I hardly thing that the illegals crossing the border into the US have Tanks, mortar rounds, or millions of dollars to fund an army. The point you are trying to make is not even close to valid. - Reply to this comment
- "They come in here like storm troopers," Mayor Chad Foster said. "They are steamrolling the people and abusing our liberties and are absolutely out of control."
And there you have the complete story of the entire George W. Bush maladministration. - Reply to this comment
- Nice point three 0 six. To further that point, Mexican gangs are now strong arming land owners on the borders. They are getting paid by those who want to cross into the States illegally in order to better the chances that they will not be stopped. And thats exactly what the Gangs are trying to provide. Its a big business in Mexico for these thugs. I just don''t understand how anyone can just be ok with that. It makes no sense at all.

- Now for all of those of you that want the illegals here for their economic impact, which one of you is going to send me a check to cover the thousands of dollars of damage that they have done to my property?
