- A RESPONSIBLE REPUBLICAN would RAISE taxes to achieve a balanced budget. this loser is not worthy of being the leader of our country, never has been. Once we lost the budget surplus, NO WAY we should have enacted tax cuts DISPROPORTIONATELY SLANTED TO THE RICH! We MUST pay as we go. This is just sick.
Under LIEpublican presidencies (NOT worthy of the name Republican), MOST of our debt was acquired. Rather than being the responsible folks Republicans want to be, they lower taxes, raise spending, and DESTROY OUR NATION! Ron Paul is the only decent repub. - Reply to this comment

- That''s great - an 8.2% increase in our already swollen defense budget (they''re just going to lose half the sh** they buy with that money anyway!)to help quell a civil war in another country.
And a gigantic 0.3% increase to take care of people in THIS country. Doesn''t seem very patriotic to me. But maybe it''s just more of that "fuzzy math" - Reply to this comment
It was not a budget.
It was just the latest lie from Bu$h.- Reply to this comment
- "But Democrats said that forecast was based on flawed math"
That"s much too kind. It"s based on impudent bald faced lies.
"...our top priority is to defend our country so we fund our military..."
Bush"s top priority is to fund his wars to defend his reputation, by keeping the troops in harm"s way for as long as possible. - Reply to this comment
- "This is a good, solid budget," the president said. "This is a good, solid budget. It"s not only an innovative budget in that it"s coming to Congress over the Internet [...that makes us feel much better...]. It"s a budget that"s balanced - gets to balance in 2012 and saves taxpayers money."
The lies that streamed out of this crude simian"s mouth in those three sentences should be grounds for Impeachment. - Reply to this comment

- "During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in its history... He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country''s history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget in decades and achieved a budget surplus."

- This is just music to the ears of the Republican contenders for the White House...
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush forecast the U.S. budget deficit would more than double in 2008 and blamed a softer economy as he unveiled a $3.1 trillion spending plan for fiscal 2009 on Monday that would nearly freeze domestic programs."
What, he didn"t blame the wars in Iraq ?!?!
Oh I forgot, he"s using Monopoly Money to pay for that. (Imported from China) - Reply to this comment
On September 10, 2001, well-known war criminal, Donald Rumsfeld, announced that the Pentagon had lost some $2.3 trillion.
Seems like we should find out what happened to this money, before we dole out any more U.S. treasure to the mass-murderous and illegitimate Bush regime.- Reply to this comment
- "One, it understands our top priority is to defend our country so we fund our military as well as fund the homeland security"
I wish the guy would just be truthful for once, and say it like the way it is:
"One, it understands that my top priority is to defend the corporations and the wealthy citizens of our country so we must fund our military as well as fund the homeland security"
That''s why he can justify cutting all programs that benefit the rest of the country.

- The United States President, who arrived in Sydney last night, brought not one Jumbo jet, but three, as well as another two aircraft that carry aircraft. The President''''s Jumbo has a back-up, and the back-up has a back-up.
