Stick around, there is one more, you will know this one by the habit of cutting and pasting from every right wing website he can find, he googles phrases like "Islam rapes babies" then posts clips from what he finds to these threads, this one is a real sicko.
We don''t like to use his name here, but you''ll know him instantly when you see him. - Reply to this comment

Your sig is a new one here, so if you are, welcome.
Many of us know rick from way back, he is nothing more than a supporter of Bush''s war, who finds that since every one of the reasons given by Bush for it have been shown to be false, tries to justify the continuance of it based on his intolerance of Islam.
As you hang around more you will find two or three more such people on these threads, usually we ignore them, but rick is an especially virulent advocate for war. As I am an American currently in Singapore, live in Bali, and do business here with Muslims daily, I find it helpful to refute such people whenever they appear, to show others worldwide that all Americans are not necessarily war mongers, hiding behind a warped interpretation of religion. - Reply to this comment

- Rick,
I have been reading some of your past posts with dismay. If you are a Christian, you should be more of a light in the world. Please knock off the name calling. - Reply to this comment
- So, let me get this straight, you advocate religious genocide, because Jeeeziss told you to? When did Jeeezis say that that was OK?

- "If you want to see genocide and wicked acts against the innocent, look no further than Islam and the murderous atrocities committed by that religion including 9-11..." Posted by singinrick
So Iraqis committed 9/11? If you were a real Christian, you wouldn''t keep implying a lie, the alleged 9/11 hijackers were Saudi, not Iraqi.
As for examples of atrocities, we have no need to look further than our own back yard, the US government has committed atrocities, the Catholic Church has committed atrocities, the US police, the kkk, there countless examples of atrocities that we have committed against our own and against others, for religious, and also non religious agendas. - Reply to this comment

No, Singingrick, I do not mock Jesus, nor demean his name. I spread his message every day and I believe in his message. And I live by that message.
His message was clear and simple. Keep the commandments and you will have peace everlasting. That was his message.
I believe that every soul is sent to this earth to be born in flesh for God''s purpose. And I believe that Jesus was sent to earth with God''s clear messsage, a reminder of his commandments. I honor his name and I honor the fact that he martyred himself to bring that message.
Now you can argue all you want to the semantics in the Bible and what there meanings are.
My significant other is an ordained Southern Baptist Minister. He can sit at the table and quote scripture and verse that tells you that it was, in fact, Adam that ate the apple in the Garden of Eden.
And he can take you scripture by scripture through the Bible and show you that at NO time was there but ONE God, and that his message was HONOR NO MAN BEFORE ME! And love thy neighbor as thyself. Which certainly and clearly means to genocide other peoples is wrong.
Now please, go enjoy your beliefs like I do, and live them accordingly. - Reply to this comment

I don''t have you confused, this was your own statement, perhaps the only true one you have ever posted, which shows that you will even twist religion if it can be made to justify genocide. - Reply to this comment

You have yourself confused, advocating war against someone because a known liar says they are a threat, which becomes genocide, because any one who resists the illegal invasion is automatically deemed to be your enemy, and a part of some non existent global jihad, that was created by the CIA in the first place.
What you advocate can be likened to your punching someone, then when that person punches you back, you ignore your original provocation, and declare that the other must die because they punched you.
Just like the "cowboys and indians" days. - Reply to this comment

Except when using it to justify genocide against the innocent. - Reply to this comment
- And amidst the insistence that Jesus was just a man or The Word, again the religious zealots distract (and get distracted) from the purpose. By all means, sustain your belief or disbelief as it suits you, but let''s bring the National Guard home to begin with. There is purpose, and belief in the Savior doesn''t preclude agreement that Mr. Bush had no idea what he was doing with Iraq, but he can''t indefinitely play a game with no plan.

- Jesus was a man. He died like everybody else of his generation

Of course Jesus was a man. To be here on this earth and to walk around and interact and to ultimately be sacrificed, rules have to be followed. One of the main rules is that any spiritual entity must inhabit flesh (or a human body) and be born of a woman to get here and to leave, the flesh must die or be destroyed and release the spirit. No one should argue that Jesus was a man--but where Christians differ with others, is what kind of spirit that shell of a man housed. Christians believe it was "The Word" that dwelled in the flesh called Jesus. He is also known as the "Lamb of God" Son of God, Son of Man, The truth and the light, also the Christ and the SAvior. He is called The Word, because he is the part of the trinity, that when coupled with the faith and believe and creative aspects of God the Father, and the action qualities of God, the Holy Spirit, it is the Word which is made manifest. For all that exists and the very essence of faith, is belief, creation, spoken as the Word, manifestation (ie proof). But God''s rules are immutable, one of them is--all spirits who interact on earth must be born and must die--just like any other human--the difference is what they really are, inside that shell. - Reply to this comment
- but if a Christian does not go to a specific church, then what that preacherman at that church thinks is NOT relevant.
Posted by b-easy63 at 05:05 PM : Feb 03, 2008
That''''s the problem in a nutshell. We don''''t go to his church, so the preacherman comes here and tries to force his sermon on any and all.
And when he''''s told to "shove it", he''''s being "persecuted".
Go figure....Posted by formrusmcsgt at 05:10 PM : Feb 03, 2008
There are scriptures in the bible concerning Christians and their tongues--because the tongue can be like a 2 edged sword and cause a lot of damage (as can posts) it should be judiciously used. If it comes to the point of fighting over Jesus--it is time for the Christian to reexamine himself and back off. Rick--you are not supposed to fight for God or Jesus but with them--and one of the things Jesus speaks very clearly of is: "Let not your good be evil spoken of" What defense will you give God --if later it is revealed that you turned more people away from God with the way you presented Him and yourself than you led to Him? Get a grip, speak in humility and when people resist your msg, Hold your tongue and keep your peace. - Reply to this comment
