Why do you mix the conservatism and the fight against the immoral things?

Are you saying that every single Republican or Christian is a pervert?
Posted by rohink at 08:42 PM : Jan 25, 2008

Not at all, just pointing out the facts that the Christians who get up on their soap boxes in order to sit in judgment of others are always the ones who are the most guilty of the very "sin" they are condemning. Same with republicans -- that party is so chuck full of religious hypocrites, Larry Craig, that all decent and honest self-respecting conservatives have now left the party.

Many states still allow girls below 18 to marry, mostly with parental consent.

Posted by Klingon69 at 12:26 PM : Jan 26, 2008

True, in some states of the US age of consent is as low as 14 and in the past has been as low as 12. It also varies widely around the world.

LOL You are just FACIST to the core aren''t you Swastika Breath? I know a LOT of Democrats, my Mom and Dad being two of them, that have great family values. They want every family to have a decent living and the freedom to raise their kids as they see fit. They like most of us want to be free from the American Taliban and the Toe Tappin Association... What''s wrong with that SWASTIKA BREATH? ROFLMAO Sieg Heil and Amen!!

Well what would you expect when ONE party pretends to be the party of "family values"? That has ALWAYS happened when we have allowed the Seperation of Church and State to come under attack. It certainly isn''''t anything new though.

"...His personal life was wrong, not his business life."

Not true. Whether you agree with the laws or not, he clearly violated statutes that protect copyrighted materials. If he wanted to market films edited that way legally, he would have to negotiate an agreement with the companies or individuals holding the copyrights. Absent those agreements, what he was doing was illegal. That certainly qualifies as a business wrong!

Hey, In the world of Mormon, isn''''t 14 years old a ripe age for a girl to get married?
Posted by sevenveils at 06:39 PM : Jan 25, 2008
No, but in many American cultures, girls became of marriageable age at 12. Usually if a girl was not married by 16 they were considered old maids.

Not to justify this guy''s actions or anything like that but I didn''t read anything in the story about him advocating "morals" like a lot of posts on here seem to be saying.
It was just a business with a niche market. You don''t have share the same believes to make a livelihood from a particular customer base.
His personal life was wrong, not his business life.

The fact that large numbers of these people getting caught tend to be of the so called "conservative" ideology is not lost on many, and it could be reasonably guessed that those who loudly point to the "other side" in hopes of obfuscating the issue probably have a few perverted skeletons in their own closets.

I have noticed that a lot, especially here in the south. The scary thing is they are so hung up on their life behind the door that they will do real harm to our Constitution and We as a people to do it.
