So many American criminals have fled into Canada it seems like Canadians should be getting tired of it. Maybe the Mounties aren''t as tough as the US cops. I wonder if they will build a fence.
Or maybe they are not getting tired of criminals. If they want more, we''ve got plenty.

What the Democrats wont do to get another of their voters back for the election in November. Was Clinton the one that gave him a pardon?

Give him his trial. It is interesting that doubt should persist in the target policeman.

How convenient for suspects in violent crimes to delay their trials for 39 or 40 years or so. Most witnesses and evidence are usually unavailable or questionable by that time.

I recall this case from 1969. A great deal of fuss was made about the shooter possibly being someone other than Pannell, but the alibis and excuses seemed pretty lame at the time. More so, to free an obvious flight risk on bail, twice no less, was inexcusably stupid.

If Canada was willing to harbor a case like this, they should have to keep him and good riddance.
