"why would a spacecraft need lights on it?????"

Maybe this is the time of year the aliens celebrate Christmas.

Christmas lights.

Thanks Ojama. An actual alien landing might not do anything to religion but it would wreak havoc on the unbending opinions of those convinced that the two (God and aliens) cannot occupy the same airspace.

Actually, I like to think these articles are making a bunch of rich programmer nerds laugh with much gaiety over their peanut butter sandwiches after flying some contraption they built over Texas airspace.

-why would they need to have lights on them???

I was curious of the same thing. If they are intelligent enough to travel through space, then they are certainly capable of seeing in the dark. It makes me wonder how many aliens we don''t see.

How very un-PC (for a "civilized" planet).

we now prefer to be referred to as "intergalactic migrants".

thank you.

Would a UFO landing and showing us we aren''t alone take away from God and religion in any way?

"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it''s the end of times," said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. "It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts."

*****************************
No surprise here. These same folks put Bush in the governors mansion and voted for him for president. They can''t be too bright.

I am always astounded at how quickly some people readily attack faith of any kind for any reason"

You''re kidding, right? You must be totally astounded by Al Qaidah then.

"''People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it''s the end of times,'' said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide....While federal officials insist there''s a logical explanation...."
From the story

Kind''ve self explanatory. This "end of times" nonsense hurts Christians and argues for shared delusion. The feds are right "there''s a logical explanation...."!

cybarerra sez: "How can some of you think that something technologically so advanced cannot evade our camera technology."

Probably because no one said, "Geez, I pointed my cell phone at it and snapped away, but it just never registered"

frankly6 sez:

With all the cell-phone cameras clicking away at anything & everything, we have literally become a surveillance society.

Any time, anyone, does something stupid, it immediately ends up on YouTube or the News.

So where are the pictures ???

I was wondering the same thing myself...hmmm how convenient...not a single pic?

Hmmm...

It IS interesting that these sightings are in a rural area of TEXAS...

Also, I find it interesting that soooo many people have seen this particular object, yet, no one has managed a photo or a video of it. Though one guy looked at it through the scope on his rifle. It kind of makes one wonder, doesn''t it?

Having said that, I have seen many UFOs over the past 50 years. Fortunately, I have always been with other people and we saw the same thing at the same time.

However, I too did not have a camera, etc.

I believe there is more to space travel than we know. To believe that we are the only intelligent life in the vast array of recently discovered galaxies is boxed, and stunted thinking.

The U.S. Air Force, and quite possibly the air force of other countries, more than likely, are flying some aircraft, and "manned or unmanned flying objects," that are not public yet.

So, stay tuned for further developments%u2026 lol

With all the cameras and video cameras available why has not one person caught it on film?

No kidding! I have a camera phone so when I see Britney Spears chasing Bigfoot into the spaceship, I don''t miss the opportunity.
