Comments on: Possible Sighting Of Marine Murder Suspect
Police Say He Was On Greyhound In Louisiana; $25,000 Reward Offered For Information
- Cesar Armando Laurean has the partially cremated bodies of a woman and a child freshly buried in his yard.
Sounds guilty to me. Either from doing it himself or not questioning why someone was burying corpses in his yard.
Why''d he run, unless he was guilty or a coward. probably both.
Must be making for the border. - Reply to this comment
- Everybody who says he is presumed innocent is absolutely right. So where is he? Why is he running? If they don''t have enough to make the charges stick, he walks in a few days.
I''m guessing that he is now AWOL from the USMC as well. If you''re innocent, why not go through the arraignment process and save yourself the trouble with the Corps?
Finally, in response to the person who said that the girl couldn''t have mental health issues because the Corps would have checked her out and not let her in--um, gee, Laurean was a Marine and I don''t think that anyone, innocent of murder or not, who burns up a body and then runs from the law is in perfect mental health. N''est-ce pas? - Reply to this comment
- If her remains, and those of her child, are found charred in a backyard barbecue, she''s the victim of SOMETHING.
Even if she took her own life, if the note is genuine, he still victimized her. - Reply to this comment
- I just do not understand how no one can think he is not guilty.

Regardless of whether anyone thinks he is guilty or not, he has the constitutional rights. One of these is PRESUMED INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. - Reply to this comment
- Tucker and others...
In most written and televised reports on this story I heard the term "superior officer" used.
The media has little understanding of miltary protocol.
The female marine was a Lance Corporal (E-3) same as an Army Private First Class, the killer is a Corporal or a Junior Non-Commisioned Officer (NCO). He is superior to her in grade, but he is by no means an officer. They are both Junior enlisted personnel.
The term Senior Officer refers to officers of at least Field Grade or Higher. This is dependant upon the service, but a Junior officer is between grade O-1 and O-3 (2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, and Captain), Field Grade officers are O-4 throug O-6 (Major, Lt. Colonel, and Colonel), and Flag Officers are Generals.
I am forever fustrated by poor reporting as the media always seems to screw up military terminology and rank structure. - Reply to this comment
- robertkjjj This guy''''s photo is everywhere and on every new web site. If he was black, we''''d all still be wondering what he looked like. "
What are you stupid, or just a racist ******? I don''t care if this guy was black, Latino, white, or purple, his picture would be published! Show me a case where a known perpetrator, or a known suspect didn''t have his photo posted! - Reply to this comment
- Someone kill a pregnant woman, dismembers her, burns the body, buries her and the fetus and you are stuck on a some stupid "detail".
What a fool you are.

A valid point is raised. How many times has the MSM convicted someone before trial? Also, unfortunately a minor detail has been used before to free criminals who were guilty, but got off because of a small detail. - Reply to this comment
