True patriots put their bodies on the line in protest.

Close Gitmo, indict Cheney, Bu$h and Rice.

Let those poor saps in our torture cells go home.

curse914 ....

Must have hit a nerve there ... you don''t know me .. so spare us all the personal attacks & support your contention.

As for your holding the current legal system in such sanctimonius ferver ..

your reminicing from 225+ years ago & unfortunately, it has evolved into a money scamming, incompetent & ridiculous system that has crazy judges and cronies shredding society sense for the common American ...

Look where crooked, lying politicians come from? Almost all are lawyers (liars).

I would imagine our founding fathers would be ashamed of where these egotistical, power hungry criminals have taken your beloved Habeus Corpas & Magna Carta ..

Please make your point like an adult .. no need to attack an individual whose position you may not agree with .. it''s immature and unnecessary ...

FARC has nothing to do with Habeas Corpus. Posted by curse914 at 06:54 PM : Jan 12, 2008 I can only assume that you have granted Habea Corpus to the entire world/universe. So why did you not include the innocents of Columbia?

To Neobrian: Exactly how many Quakers are in Gitmo?

Posted by downsteamjim

I believe he is is referring to a group of antiwar Quakers that found themselves on the DOD terrorist watch list.

I notice that there were no U.S. or worldwide protests about the treatment of the victims of FARC. I bet these victims who were not even involved in any type of military or terrorist activities would gladly trade places with the Gitmo crew.

If these people want Gitmo closed, then they should find another place to keep terrorists and ''such'' like in ''their'' own States where they can keep an eye out for mistreatment

Lets round up the liberal agitators and throw them into huge prisons so we don''''t have to be bothered by their constant whining about peace and the constitution.

That''s very Hitler-esque of you.

Or would that be Stalin-istic?

I think every last moron who voted for Bush in 2004 needs to be rounded up and put into prison camps. All their property should be confiscated to help pay off the war debt they racked up. The balance of the debt will be paid off by their prison labor at 10 cents an hour. They''''ll be released in 100 years when it''''s all paid off. Posted by ontheleft at 02:41 PM

Sounds good to me, ontheleft!!!

In a democracy, people are supposed to be allowed to voice their grievances. The Cowardly Cowboy has said that the number 1 reason for invading a country that did nothing to us was to make them a democracy. Now I can see what he meant. Texas democracy. Shame on him. Shame on those who voted for him. Even more shame on those who still defend this maniac!
