Some phones do, some don''t. But more importantly, most 911 centers, and police agencies, do not have the equipment to track people that way.

There is no report of ANY evidence of foul play, much less "overwhelming".
If she''s on the lamb, she knows they''ll tap the family''s phone and surveil them as well.
Her own family characterizes her as a chronic liar. Her own family for pete''s sake!

- Good point. Shows how desperate the military are to recruit. Seven years of the moron-in-chief in charge has taken its toll, no doubt, on morale and the ability of the military to find and retain quality candidates.

Two weeks ago, the Pentagon announced the "good news" that the army had met its recruiting goal for October, the first month in a five-year plan to add 65,000 new soldiers to the ranks by 2012.
But Pentagon statistics show the army met that goal by accepting a higher percentage of enlistees with criminal records, drug or alcohol problems, or health conditions that would have ordinarily disqualified them from service.
In each fiscal year since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, statistics show, the army has accepted a growing percentage of recruits who do not meet its own minimum fitness standards. The October statistics show that at least 1 of every 5 recruits required a waiver to join the service, leading military analysts to conclude that the army is lowering standards more than it has in decades. - Reply to this comment

The comment about Bipolarism in the military may or may not be real, If she was being treated for bipolarism when she joined, I doubt that she would be allowed in. Bipolars can be a loose cannon if their meds are missed. if she was diagnosed after joining, she would have been given a medical discharge. the only way she could stay in would be to not tell, - Reply to this comment

- For the fact she was going to testify against her commander, and now has disappeared, should suggest something sinister has occurred. And given the fact that, she has not called her stepmother, and her cell phone was found abandoned, or thrown out at the main gate, should indicate foul play.

Not necessarily. IF the rape charges were fabricated, she may well have decided to flee rather than face the consequences of making false charges against an officer.
She could have tossed her phone on the way out of the gate.

Something happened to this Marine, and expectant mother. For the fact she was going to testify against her commander, and now has disappeared, should suggest something sinister has occurred. And given the fact that, she has not called her stepmother, and her cell phone was found abandoned, or thrown out at the main gate, should indicate foul play.
The evidence is there,,circumstantial as it is.

Since you don''''t know what has happened to this marine, anymore than I do, your supposition that she has deserted is a scurilous accusation. As a marine you should have a higher standard of behavior then to make such accusations against a fellow marine.
FYI, I spent 5 years in JAG and no one at this point has any evidence of her being AWOL and nothing in this article gives me any idea what might have happened. This is the worse kind of reporting. It''''s pure salacious suppositions and innuendo. I can hardly believe the wild jumping to conclusions that I''''ve read posted here. I am expecially disgusted by the comments of those who once took the oath to serve their country as I did.
