- "By the way, I want to take this time to say that it is 4:40 pm December 24 here where I am, so I will wish all a joyous holiday, and ask all to spare a moment to remember all those whose lives were lost needlessly.
For myself, being my 51st birthday, the present I would like more than any other, is to see Bush, Cheney, and the rest of their klan in handcuffs..."

Happy Birthday fellow patriot!
And that moment was taken, in sincere thought and reverence.
Thank you for always reminding us of the simplicity of freedom, and tragedy of its absence.

Despite the fact that all torture leaves a person broken in body and mind, including continually drowning and resuscitating them (water boarding), let''s assume what you just said was true.
Watch out American military personnel, the neocons have just claimed that torture is not torture, and is allowed by "law".
Get ready. And instead of cursing your torturers during your agony, curse all those in America who claim it is lawful, and just.
And do the same.

If i were a betting man, I would bet that a "controlled drowning" or three would leave you emotionally scarred, and if your former vocation had anything to do with water, you might suffer some changes in your ability to work, for the rest of your life. - Reply to this comment
- Torture leaves a person broken in body and in mind and ruined for life. Waterboarding does none of those things. It is a phsychological effect that leaves the person fully capable of performing every feat and skill whether mental or physical tha they were capable of performing before.

- "And so, just as Hitler and Stalin before them, Bush and his henchmen recruited brutal sociopaths to torture and murder, accounting only to their personal will. Lending them, wholeheartedly and enthusiastically, all necessary moral and legal blessing.
I have always been curious, and wondered, who the American people thought were torturing and murdering in our name."
