If the Torturer General will not insist on the release information about the CIA torture tapes to Congress, what do you think he will force the CIA to release on their plane that went down in Mexico with four tons of cocaine on it?

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/12/12/19210/608/933/420107

You can see from the story that the CIA were making sure the taxpayers got their moneys worth from the plane...it did double duty...rendition flights and drug smuggling...

Wonder why this isn''t big news in the US narco-banker controlled media...People who support this regime are the scum of the earth...We have two border patrolmen in prison for doing their jobs in trying to apprehend a drug smuggler! Wonder why....We have as president a coke head and dry drunk whose family is tied to the CIA, crooked business and banks and drugs...whose grandfather was a wheel at CBS...And people wonder why this nation is going to ''ell in a handbasket....

Where have all the Nazi''''s gone? Gone to the CIA - that''''s where!

This Statement says it all!

I never would have agreed to the formulation of the Central Intelligence Agency back in forty-seven, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo.

Uh, Sarge, if you expect to pay for the Iraq war that way, you''''ll have to charge $9,049.95 per VIEWER... and EVERYONE will have to view it...

It would also tempt even me, the very definition of opposition to the concept of paying for TV and being forced to endure commercials, to part with my money, but why should TV pay for the war? Recover the money from all the politicians, thieves and profiteers that have embezzled it...

I think Jr. and his compadres have done an excellent job in teaching Americans a very valuable lesson. One that I hope they''''ll never forget.

I''d like to repeat what I told my anxious friends when Jr. "won" the elections in 2000 and 2004: It''s a good thing Jr. won. A very good thing.
Because now Americans will see what a bad politician really looks like.
Let him wreck the economy and the Constitution and the rest of the world, I told them, so people for once start paying attention to who they''ve elected and that way learn from that mistake.
I think Jr. and his compadres have done an excellent job in teaching Americans a very valuable lesson. One that I hope they''ll never forget.

So Mukasey won%u2019t appoint a Special Prosecutor on the torture because he doesn%u2019t see any reason that he can%u2019t be independent?

JUDGE Mukasey was the guy who approved the FISA Warrants on Jose Padilla. The MAJOR evidence against Padilla at that time was the confession of some guy named ABU ZUBAYDAH! The guy that was tortured in the videotapes.

Our dear AG is himself a PARTY in this case. He will need to be interviewed by his own investigators as to what he was told about those confessions.

1)Perhaps he was not aware that the interrogation was made under duress and not fully voluntary. If he thus out a warrant on illegally portrayed warrants, then he would be an OFFENDED PARTY...deceived by the CIA and thus might be prone to unfairness in the case towards those that misrepresented the case to him.

2) Even worse, is if he WAS made aware that the confessions were made after torture. In that case he repeatedly lied during his Confirmation hearings that he was unaware of what waterboarding was, and had made no determination as to its legality. Because, if he was aware of it, then he not only KNEW what it entailed, but that he approved of the act.

It makes him a potential SUBJECT of investigation. It means he perjured himself before Congress. Mukasey must fully RECUSE himself from the investigation and allow an independent party to appoint a SP to investigate the waterboarding, the taping, and his own role in this affair.

"If I become aware of information that leads me to a different conclusion, I will act on it."

Right, he will make sure it never sees the light of day.

Just take the enemy combatants to CBS studios, put them in a chair, get the cameras rolling, and then, with a couple of newscasters giving color commentary, saw their heads off with a knife.

Problem solved.

If by enemies in this scenario you mean Bush and Cheney then I heartily second the plan, but suggest we put it on pay-per-view. Hundreds of millions of people, my self included, would gladly plunk down $49.95 to watch that and the worldwide revenues would pay for their illegal war of choice.

Congress confirmed this guy with a lot of pressure from the Great Emperor Bush who said "Take him or you won''t get another one"! So naturally, Congress CAVED!
So, what does Congress expect when they want this guy to do something and he refuses to do it?

There must be someone on this planet with guts enough to stand up to the Great Emperor Bush and tell him to pound sand where the sun doesn''t shine! Wherever he is, he sure ISN''T in Congress!

SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!

We can also thank our IDIOTS in congress such as Diane
Feinstein (D-Ca.) who by the way is a CFR and Trilateral commission member for voting yes to nominate this moron.

Liar, Liar Robes on Fire. Did anybody expect anything but the same old game by the same old gang. We must never forget what this crew of crooks lead by the Cowardly Cowboy and Cheyneydadick have done----------Their turn to face justice will come, someday, if we, the people, stand up to their treason.

Why is this front page news? Mukasey spit in the face of Congress when they asked him if waterboarding was torture. Did they expect anything different?

Democrats are spineless wimps.

And that comes from a registered Democrat. My party makes me sick.
