Muddy probably desperately needs his tax refund because he''''s a dumba$$ with managing his money. And he has the nerve to call others dimwits.

I get a rather sizeable return which I allow the government to utilize all year long because I don''t claim 50 deductions like the rest of the azzholes. So therefore, next year and years to come, the government will no longer be entitled to utilize my returns throughout the year, because they would use it to supplement programs for ********** like you. Hahahahaha. - Reply to this comment
- Oh, then I gather you are on welfare. Most people who don''''t pay taxes and work their azzes off consider this not part of the "operating budget".

According to the most recent HRW list of countries that use torture (October 2007) the United States is officially listed. And now with Bush declaring publically that he will veto any bill prohibiting torture, there is no way the US can deny or argue the inclusion. It will take a generation and a number of future administrations before the name is removed from the list, if ever. As a Republican it probably makes one proud; as an American, on the other hand, ...........

- One could only imagine the dirty little secrets that could be extricated out of Bush and Cheney if we could only waterboard them.

I''d love to try it on George Soros, Harry Reid, Nancy Pewlosi and the Media. Talk about all those dirty little secrets to sabatoge America in favor of the terrorists. Leave it to the Dimnowits. Soft on terror, pampering the terrorists, pooping on the troops and Americas. Haven''t got time to fix that AMT now do they. I''ll go you one better McVet, and say that if they succeed in getting us to abandon our honor, our morals, and our integrity - they''ve already won. - Reply to this comment
- Well said MCVet.
I would like to add, that it is not that we are trying to protect the terrorist, we are protecting our own. When our goverment engages in torture, as the terrorist, how can we object to the treatment of our own soldiers? When we violate human rights, how can we as a nation condemn others for violating human rights? In addition, torture very rarely brings about truth. More often than not, the person being tortured will say whatever you want him to say.
Also, when we become like the terrorist and are willing to do anything in the name of security, we have lost. - Reply to this comment
- OK so now when we want info from a terrorist that could save lives imminently all we have to do is say please?

You poor fascist don''t get it do you... I don''t think you ever will. You are so scared and selfserving you can''t see the reality... Look Terrorist are fed, they multiply on FEAR. If you show them fear, if you resort to being like them, they will become MORE strong. This poor fool and all those like him are WHY we are losing this fight. If they had been on the good guys side during our fight with our OWN Religious Terrorist, who make these muslim one''s look like boy scouts, heaven knows where we''d be today. We need to turn to people who actually UNDERSTAND Terrorist and UNDERSTAND how to fight them, not be them. When the citizens of EVERY single Nation on the Planet save one, concider''s your leadership to be FASCIST... well the bad guys are winning. When the Enemy is as strong now or maybe stronger than when you started 7 years ago.. the bad guys are winning. When you are STILL concerned about protecting YOUR nation 7 years after the fight started... the bad guys are winning. When you''ve spent ONE TRILLION Dollars on fighting a war that has been USED by the enemy to recruit new people.. the bad guys are winning. Now maybe some of you can''t figure that out...in which case YOU have been sucked into FASCISM and you need to seek help. PERIOD!! Sieg Heil Bush!! - Reply to this comment

The fact that such a disgraceful "vote" could occur in America at all is unbelievable.
The torture and murder of prisoners has always been, and will always be, illegal in our great nation.
The problem lies not in our law, but in the fact that treasonous elements of our government, and we now know they consist not only of the Republicans, but almost the entire leadership of the Democratic Party, have knowingly violated the law and subverted The Constitution of the United States of America.
Trotting out yet another "law", which Dictator Bush will merely attach an illegal "signing statement" to exclaiming he is free to ignore it, is an insult to the intelligence of the American people.
If the Democrats were serious about restoring our Constitution they would immediately move to impeach Bush and Cheney, and try all their henchmen, including Feinstein, Rockefeller, Pelosi, and all of his other Democratic enablers, for high treason against The United States of America and crimes against humanity.

- "Today, in America, George W. Bush or any of his henchmen can simply point their finger at you, declare you an enemy combatant, and have you incarcerated indefinitely in a secret prison without charge or representation, where they have institutionalized torture and murder.
And for those Americans who think they are exempt, and don''t care about foreign citizens or their rights as human beings, think again.
You may have heard the term "Habeas Corpus" tossed around a lot lately, and heard that we have lost the right to it, but do you know what that means?
It means that you no longer have the right to be brought before an impartial judge to protest your imprisonment, or provide evidence that the charges against you are false.
For example, when Bush secretly imprisons an American citizen he doesn''t like he can simply say that they are an Afghani national caught on the battlefield of Iraq, even if they were actually a loyal citizen living in Boston who was illegally abducted at the mall while shopping.
And since you no longer have the right to Habeas Corpus you will never have a chance of the truth being told, and will be at the mercy of Bush''s psychopathic brethren for what remains of your lives.
Welcome to fascist America."
