19-Year-Old Gunman Lost Job And Girlfriend In Weeks Prior To Deadly Attack
ok non loons, arm your selves with a semi automatic weapon then, check your local laws if you or a family member is going to the mall for Christmas shopping, they are worried about copy cats, and if its the gun doing the killing like these anti social nuts believe you would need the biggest gun RIGHT.
The proliferation of Semi Automatic Assault weapons in the country is killing innocent people and should should be BANNED AGAIN, and AGAIN We the rest of the People you whackdos disregard have rights to .....- Reply to this comment
- We should have at least twice a year a National Suicide Day where an individual can kill themselves and be allowed into whatever version of heaven they believe in, this would make room for those of us who are weary of putting up with their ignorance, stupidity, and negative attitudes and focus on the ones worth therapy. Believe me, as a therapist & counselor, you learn to spot the differences fast.

No wonder I have such little respect for our mental health experts. - Reply to this comment
- knyghtwolf : If your a counselor than I''m superman. Because no competent therapist would ever speak ill of their clients. But then again what do you expect from someone that makes a living off others suffering?

I agree. Then there is the whole video game industry. Don''t get me started on the whole "no link to violent behavior and violence on tv and video games" B.S.
You gotta be kidding me right? Here kid play this game that numbs your mind to killing. Ooh! Look! Lets watch a "Saw" marathon.... - Reply to this comment

- Ok, so I was a dropout, smoked pot, was depressed and had a history of mental illness, got a GED. But I must of forgot to go on that killing spree guys like him go on. I forgot to get that criminal record too. Or maybe... you stupid, arrogant, propaganda spouting news writers should stop acting like amateur psychiatrists and quit trying to define what you don''t understand. This is the type of *** that makes everybody scared of each other. The kid was a real puke, he obviously had a dark side he nursed a bit too much and kept it to himself. But I''m sorry Mr. or Mrs. Trash Writer, depression doesn''t make you kill people, or we''d all be dead. He did it because he chose to.

- The problem lies in the fact that guns are accessible to just about anyone.
There is absolutely no way to predict when someone is going to lose their ties to reality, get a gun and cause this type of tragedy.
Yes, guns can be controlled to a degree. People with guns can''t be controlled. - Reply to this comment
- lol...let me try that again.
Hopefully more and more people with CCP''s will start taking their weapons into gun free zones because of this incident. - Reply to this comment
- buckgodot03 - have you seen any television or movies lately or listen to the words to some of the rap songs? All they promote is violence and ***. I''m not saying all tv, movies and rap are bad, but there are some that shouldn''t be out there. Then too, the press puts so much space on these things that kids think they can be famous like this guy did. Makes you wonder why someone would want to be remembered for murdering someone and then committing suicide. Beats me. I personally don''t remember kids being so depressed and committing suicide when I was growing up, but I''m older than dirt.

- Lets see some of the families filing law suits against the fracking psychiatrist or psychiatirst who didn''t follow up with this kid to insure that he was taking his meds; the pharmaceutical companies who make these deadly SSRIs which are responsible for a multitude of deaths every year--and virtually ALL of the big school massacres!

- ONLY INSECURE, EMOTIONAL CRIPPLES USE GUNS TO SOLVE PROBLEMS. MOST OF THESE RIGHT TO CARRY CLOWNS HAVE NOT ONLY NEVER KNOWN ANYONE WHO HAS HAD TO USE A GUN TO DEFEND THEMSELVES OR THEIR PROPERTY. THE RIGHT TO CARRY CROWD WOULD NOT HAVE THE CHANCE TO SLAP LEATHER IF CONFRONTED WITH A CRIMINAL WHO PREMEDITATED HIS CRIME LIKE ROBERT HAWKINS DID.

- Without question this young man was mentally deranged. But that does not trump the fact that if Robert Hawkins, like the Virginia Tech shooter, had been armed with only a cork-screw, can opener, or screw driver EIGHT, COUNT THEM EIGHT, human beings would be alive and able to enjoy Christmas with the rest of us!

- Why no mention that this shopping mall was a "gun-free zone"? It doesn''t fit the liberal mindset that such zones are safer.
A law abbiding citizen with a permit to carry a concealed weapon could have ended this tragedy after the first 1 or 2 innocent lives were extinguished. Liberals would rather we feel safe than actually be safe. - Reply to this comment
- Personally, it all starts in the home, the parents.
They must have seen this teenager on a path
of self destruction. 19 year olds dont yet know
how to cope. They need guidance, praise, patience, the tools to be better. Most of all, he wasnt mature yet-who is at 19?? The parents I think should have exhausted all avenues and NOT given up. Kicking him out of the house- is the easy way out. Its sad, everyone should have a chance to find their way.
And he was a lost soul. Nobody was there to be a mentor. I hope that all the other troubled young folks find a mentor who need it. There needs to be
more resources available in this country. Our country is capable and there are many open hearts ready to receive these challenges. May parents take more active roles and be with their kids- spending quality time. That is the key. To all - I wish the best. - Reply to this comment

We may have free will, but there are also consequences to every action we take, big or small. As far as us controlling the world, I for one am so glad that when my life ends, it does not fall into the hands of the people of this world, but to the hands of God. Everyone has their own opinion, but friend, I will pray for you! - Reply to this comment
- These are the inevitable results of a system that encourages ruthless competition without support for those who don''t prosper. We are going to extremes of neo-capitalism - the "winners" at the top of the food chain rake in hundreds of millions of our money they don''t earn, and for every one of them there must be 1000''s of "losers" at the bottom who don''t get any support, any comfort, any piece of the pie. and some of them go nuts, so we the middle class pay for these folks too.
It''s time for the "winners" to become the losers they really are, as the Bible you phonies love to quote actualy points out. I mean the real one, not the fake one you are George Bush quote in your justifications of injustice. - Reply to this comment
- When I was a kid, the answer for these depressed teenagers was always suicide. What is happeneing to our children that the answer is now mass murder an suicide?
