GreatDriveW,
"Bush''''s speech, as previously described, would awaken the sleeping masses"

The masses are in a coma, a Terri Schiavo-like coma. They aren''t going to wake up.

"The plan calls for outright elimination of programs for port security, transit security, and local emergency management operations in the next budget year. This is President Bush''s last budget."

Enough said,

Vote the Republicans out!

They more that proven my point.

MISMANAGEMENT, HUBRIS AND LIES THAT''S THE GOP.

I partially disagree, Smirk5.

Bush still needs Congress, and Congress always needs the People. Bush''s speech, as previously described, would awaken the sleeping masses, and again, all Hell would break loose. If Democrats still believe in the mandate they were given, then they need to force that speech.

The Bushies aren''t running for election again. They don''t have to put on a show that they care anymore.

Perhaps I didn''t fully explain myself. The last thing Bush wants to do is explain, live on television, how EXACTLY he intends to raise the $70 billion Republicans recently requested. He''d have to explain that we''re financing this war with debt, primarily with overseas investment of our trade imbalance with China; and thereafter all Hell would break loose. For what people are forgetting is that every time Bush receives $100 billion, we have to pay it back, with interest. And with interest, we''re already at $2 trillion, with a T.

If any of you have time, please go to fieldsoffuel.com and watch the trailer for the movie. It''s inspirational. "Fields of Fuel" will be at Sundance next year, and will be in theaters nationwide shortly thereafter.

Bush is the most powerful man in the world. He has used that power to treat the world like a 9 year old boy treats a jar of captured bugs: Stare at them, poke them, shake the jar, then lose interest and leave the whole lot to suffocate.

A roundup of Gallup health polls over the past four years finds that Republicans are far more likely than Democrats to report having excellent mental health.
The survey found that 58 percent of Republicans polled reported having excellent mental health. Only 38 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of Independents reported the same.

Now that is funny...you have to be pretty ignorant not to know that truly crazy people don''t think they''re crazy.

Look at Charlie Manson, or Darth Cheney.

MichaelT said that a survey showed that republicans have better mental health than democrats. Hmmm What former senator from Texas was one of the prime sponsors of Roe vs Wade in defense of abortion, what president gave the largest tax cut in history to corporations to move to China where abortions are mandatory and what former presidential wantabee/ minister stated to Wolf Blitzer that China had to do something about its population ? Those are all intelligent descisions correct?

RowdyTexas2 said, "Well, here we go... Look for all kinds of things to heat up in Iraq cuz Bush didn''''t get his blank check on war money..."
---
Bush will leave everything in shambles, since he has no political life ahead of him and nothing left to lose. His abject poverty of accomplishment is a national monument to congenital character defects, driven by blind ambition.

This Texas dead-ender''s misbegotten invasion of Iraq has cost this country 4,000 dead, tens of thousands wounded, and left hundreds of thousands of dead and maimed Iraqis on its conscience (since Bush has none).

Meanwhile, Bush has trashed $1 trillion US taxpayer dollars in a bunkered-down, Ft. Apache-style occupation of Iraq, run up the national debt like a credit card his daddy would take care of, and ignored the American people and their long-term exposure to terror like a budgetary afterthought.

More like the world with his drivel, add in all of the politicians and you could power the solar system with all of the hot air. Smells though like rotten dog f a r t s after eating turkey.

Bush, The Finale
For example, anti-terror funding for US coastal cities-- New York City, in particular-- became a pork barrel project. Port security was not even half-way addressed until well into his term (and remains half-done), and airport security becomes a joke to even Bush insiders. Clearly, it shouldn''t be.

Bush today confirmed his misplaced priorities by seeking to un-fund national port security, airport security and local anti-terror training programs. Pronouncing his cancelled effort another job well done, Bush confirmed the spirit of Katrina thrives in him.

Meanwhile, Turkey has declared it will invade northern Iraq when it pleases, Iran has declared it will build as many reactors as it wants, Syria wants to renew its nuclear effort, Pakistan already has the bomb and is a simmering political crisis, and Bush-- to salute the regional instability he helped create-- lusts to attack Iran. (Presumably, with a better followup plan than he had for Iraq.)

Our Katrina president at work! Heckuva job...

robertkjjj---Get real.
This is a positive finding. Most ppl do have disorders. The Democratic Party reflects our National health. Unlike the Republican Party...Their heads are in cloud 9 to the 10th power. Some where out there in the stratosphere, no one knows for sure where that really is.

Solution to Bush''s Fiscal Insanity:

Before Congress will even consider additional funding for Bush''s war, Congress must force Bush to tell the people, prime-time and on TV, how EXACTLY we are supposed to come up with another $70 billion. At that point the ball is in Bush''s corner. Until he tells us, in detail, where exactly this money is supposed to come from, there will be no additional funds. And if he thinks a quick "Mission Accomplished" speech on TV will cut it, then he''s wrong. In other words, until he properly explains it, in detail, directly to the people, please stop holding-up the debate on war funding Mr. President.

If this country doesn''''t start working on its deficit spending, we will never have a positive trade balance. Bush is doing that in the last part of his time in office. Both deficits are coming down significantly. Bravo to Bush! Shame on the Democrats.

Posted by Ecgtheow at 02:36 PM : Dec 01, 2007

Again, one of the most commical posts ever made here. The GOP has raised our deficit over the last 7 years to astronomical numbers and have bankrupt this country . What did Bush do the, not one veto, not one word. He let hte GOP rape this country and cheered while they were doing it!!! Bush is all words when it comes to balancing budget, if there are children involved he''ll cut everything, if it''s big oil he''ll give cash away like there''s no tomorrow!!!
