The first half is B.S., The second half is right on.
They can say there is no GOD, I know there is. and the Bible is just a roadmap to get to GOD. A lot of people cannot read a map either.
The section about Oil and business is correct. (one out of two isn''t bad)

Here are some popular bible verses that were used by the south to justify slavery:

"Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves."
(Lev. 25:44)

"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ."
(Ephesians 6:5)

"Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them."
(1 Timothy 6:1-2)

"Slaves, obey your human masters in everything; don''t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but work wholeheartedly, fearing the Lord."
(Colassians 3:22)

"Slaves are to be submissive to their masters in everything, and to be well-pleasing, not talking back."
(Titus 2:9)

"Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel. "
(1 Peter 2:18)

"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property."
(Exodus 21:20-21)

The media hounded the talk show hostess whose name escapes me for her association with sweat shops in Latin America...why don''t we have the same treatment of Mr. Gerald Singer? Who the ''ell is he? What is his background? How did he get in the China Trade? What are his political affiliations?

This is a nation that sells the organs of political dissidents in the international meat markets...particularly to the Rockefellar affiliated Medical Center in Chicago. They also made many of those crappy little US flags that flew from the aerials of millions of minivans with sagging springs carrying hordes of big fat Bush supporters who supported his unjust wars and lies about 9-11...an Administration that advocates ''free trade'' while its owners manipulate the gold and forex markets and left the yuan artificially low to beat down US domestic enterprises.

Its so much cleaner when you can keep your slaves an ocean away in a police state and keep your profits untaxed through the mechanism of transfer pricing... As Jerry Falwell barks in ''ell...it is left to the Reverend "Bloody Diamond" Robertson to support the exploitation of third world labour and abortionists like Mafiosi Giuliani...Praise Jay-sus! But G-- D--- it, don''t listen to him!

psk123 - most likely - the church never went to China to do this contract. That would be prohibitive for the purpose of getting crosses made.
And, even if they had, would they be shown a model factory ?

I bet the contract was created with a middle man. Not many folks speak Chinese.

Just how does one ensure a ''sweat shop'' environment isn''t being used ? Did you do that the last time you purchased something from China ? Did you even think of it ?

I''m not saying you are wrong in your ideas - to the contrary, but let''s not be unreasonable about our allegations, ok...

Does not much matter to me what the product is, a sweat shop is a sweat shop is a sweat shop. My only surprise is I would have thought that being Christian items, they (church officials) would have made sure beyond any doubt that the manufacturing of such items would be far and above reproach.

Isn''t it interesting that CBS has singled out the factory which creates the crosses for this examination !

Every craven atheist jumped right on the ''opportunity'', too !

So, what about that pen you used today. Or, how about that mouse, or coffee cup, or phone, sissors, stapler, chair, your clothes, glasse frames, and light ?

I''m willing to bet you can''t find much in arm''s reach that wasn''t made in China. So, do you think ALL of those factories are paying great wages, or are they ''sweat shops'' ?

So, back to my statement, just WHY is CBS bringing this up about crosses ?

SHAME CBS, for targeting Christians. Leave that to the Dam*ned atheists, who by the way only represent 6% of the population. Amazing how squeaky that wheel is ain''t it!

Cant wait to hear the reply from the brainwashed.
Jesus said it''s ok because they don''t believe in christ so they can have slaves just like the bible says.

More hypocrisy from those W-A-C-K-Y Christians!

They celebrate cannibalism (eating the body of Christ) and vampirism (drinking his blood), so it''s not the least bit surprising that they would rely on sweatshops to make their crucifixes, which celebrate the horrible death of Jesus. Suffering is all they know and understand.

Bill Anderson, president and chief executive of the Christian trade association, issued a statement saying: "While we occasionally hear this issue raised, and believe there are factories in China where human rights are violated, we believe claims that products sold through CBA member stores are made in these shops are irresponsible and unfounded."

Did Mr Anderson see the video? When the proof is right in front of his face, what lie will he tell then?

Churches are no different than any other for profit organization, depress labor costs, to maximize profit margins, so they should be taxed just like any for profit business..
