Be careful. Quoting the Bill of Rights will soon be called "traitorous" by the supporters of the puny despot Bush and his party of fake Americans.
Will no one stand up for what American Principle means? Have so many Americans become lemmings easily led to the cliff of authoritarian government? Does no one see through the rhetoric of fear being used to justify every rape of the Constitution? These neocon totalitarians do not deserve to wrap themselves in the flag. They no longer understand what it stands for. To them it is just a vehicle to power and radical evisceration of our life of liberty in favor of subjugation to whatever whim of power suits their desires. - Reply to this comment
- So what if Bush vetoes it? It only means that there is no shield, so let the subpoenae fly, and take that issue off the table. Let Bush try to protect them while they are on trial, then let the attempted interference be the key to open Bush''s dark closet.

- The King claims "State Secrets" every time their un-Constitutional, illegal, and un-American actions are about to be exposed. It has NOTHING tx do with protecting the country. It is all about unfettered power and eliminating the checks and balances that protect the liber%u2020y of ALL OF US. Those here who think they are patriots bu%u2020 defend unlimited Presidential power that cannot be questioned are misguided at best or traitors to American principle at worst.
It is time to step up and say proudly that we defend th Constitution and Liberty that this country stands for, and we will no be cowed by this little King who would destroy our way of life. - Reply to this comment

- Why would anyone try to save these super rich enemies of the American people? The gop, like the KKK and fundamentalists christians have no place in the US with their demonic understanding of old and new testament and whatever source that can help them justify their murdering, sodomy and torture of men, women and children detained under American arms. While sneaking around wiretapping us, with no respect for our Bill of Rights guaranteed protections.
As a veteran I still honor my oath of office to defend the Constitution, which is why I call on all people, [E Pluribus Unum] to e-mail or phone their elected officials calling for the passing of the bill of impeachment resting in the congressional judiciary committee of the house of representatives to go forward, so this gang of international war profiteers are thrown out of office, arrested, tried and sentenced before all of our rights are gone and our money as well. - Reply to this comment
- Spying on the American people is immoral. There was great cowardice behind those who voted for the patriot act. One presidential candidate stands tall, Ron Paul. He voted against surrendering our hard fought civil liberties that so many of our fore fathers died to protect. Why did Hillary and so many others in Congress take the easy low road and vote pass the "patriot" act? It should be called the "traitors" act because that is what it represents.

- "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

- Good for the senate. It is about time that our checks and balances were put back into action. This administration made and end run on the constitution, but hopefully it failed.

- Immunity from wiretapping. What happened to the last president that tried to illegally wiretap?

- Especially given what has recently been disclosed about the broad scope of the wiretaps, there is no reason to immunize any of the companies. It is amazing, but perhaps not surprising, that apparently none of the companies said: Where is your FISA warrant?

- Congress - Please finish the investigation into the Kronger brothers....
They may have finally got to the bottom of the 9/11-CIA/United Airlines insider trading...
Seems a Bu$h buddy/CIA/Blackwater employee named Kronger is under suspicion for netting $22 million for his part in placing ''put options'' on some airlines stock, possibly knowing which planes would be flown into the WTC buildings...
This same family goes all the way back to ''Iran/Contra''...
This same family is involved in the Blackwater shootings...
Could it be that some in the CIA and the Pentagon actually pulled off 9/11?
Why was Cheney in command of NORAD that day?
What exactly did Bu$h know about the atrocity?
Will personal greed be the undoing of the cabal?
Or will the White House make the investigation GO AWAY??? - Reply to this comment
Re: "Democratic House Passes Bill Without Telecom Immunity"
Very good. AT&T, Verizon, and other collaborators should face a very stiff penalty for engaging in this kind of fascistic and criminal behavior.
The assets of these corporations should be seized and liquidated, as they are clearly operating outside of the law, and are acting against the interests of the people of the United States.- Reply to this comment
