Comments on: Georgia Tries To Pray Up A Storm
Governor Of Drought-Ravaged State Leads Prayer Service; Protesters Demonstrate Nearby
- Reading these posts remind me of watching kids argue over who has the better daddy. Why is it that some people feel defensive when someone else talks about their belief in God? They become rude, hateful and turn to name calling. I just don''t understand why they have to be so mean, just because someone has certain beliefs, you don''t have to try to convert them from one to the other. We all have a choice to believe in God or not. I think people should respect one''s beliefs and leave it at that. If someone wants to advertise they are praying for rain in the drought areas, give them the respect to do so. Without sneering from the sidelines or making fun on them, it%u2019s downright childish.
I for one am a believer in God and do pray for the southeastern states for relief. If one doesn%u2019t believe in God, does that also mean that same person is without compassion? From these posts, it sure looks like it. - Reply to this comment
- Only fairy princesses believe in myths. They are the ones who are scared and with good reason.

I see. So that''s why you and ricky believe in the myth of god? Because you''re scared fairy princesses? It all makes sense now! - Reply to this comment

If you agree with Rick''''s comments, why didn%u2019t you answer my questions?
BTW, jn122736 are my initials and birthrate. I use them because they are easy for me to remember.
I believe our comments speak clearly enough for themselves without my having to respond-in-kind, as I said, except in rare and/or special occasions. - Reply to this comment
- Nope....just the phony god fearing part.......kinda hard to be scared of a myth.......

You''ve GOT to be kidding?? The LAST election turned out Religious Nut''s by the droves because the Toe Tappers Association, which this IDIOT doing the Praying is one of, wanted a Constitutional Amendment to deprive certain American''s their constitutional rights. I mean in DROVES!! We also sat and watched as our CONGRESS was called back into session by the Religious Reich. Why? So they could act and put themselves in the middle of a family dispute over a
BRAIN DEAD woman. Just how much more of this HYPOCRITICAL BULL can we handle. Now this state, the one that''s suffering, is about as hung up on the Religious Reich as it gets so it would appear to me they are NOT doing something right? Maybe SENATOR Wide Stance can help? ROFLMAO What a bunch of IDIOTS you freaks are... ALL the hate you have made, all the people you have falsely accused. Personally, I can find very little difference between you clowns and the Taliban. All of you want the same things. Sieg Heil and Amen. - Reply to this comment

No rain from above?
They prayed again.
Then the storm raged within.
For God gave them hands and heads and heart.
The land will overcome the drought.
With lessons shown that God redeems

- Well all these TV preachers said that Katrina was God''s wrath at New Orleans for being a sinful city. Pat Robertson said God sent the flood to stop a g@y parade from occurring the next week. My question: what are the sins of Georgia? What is God punishing the state for?

- jn122736, you are so right about Rick. I did support him a few days ago when someone said he was not fit to sleep with a Pig, I thought that was totally unfair and argued that He Certainly Was !

Start with a molecule and work from there. Check out an atom and go with it. Trace the double helix tracks of DNA. Science has no problem with religion. Religion has no problem with science or logic. Illogical people who don''''t think have problems with religion. They assume that everything at their disposable is man-made. What then if not, then who?

%u201CThe fact is formr, I could care less if I''''m "hated" because you know what, Christ told us to expect it for standing up for Him. So I give Him all the glory and praise every time you atheists perform your same old routine of ridiculing Christians.%u201D
Rick is being disingenuous as usual. In fact, to say he cares is an understatement. The fact is, he actually thrives on it. When you criticize him (the stronger, the better) you are giving him exactly what he craves. I believe it makes him feel god-like, in fact I get the weird impression that he, sometimes, feels that he is Jesus reincarnated.
To all readers;
My apologies for getting so personal toward any poster, even rick.

- It''s hilarious that you people are taking this guy Perdue seriously. He is a politician for Christ sake, he is employed by the people to do a specific job, to serve the people in their needs. He ''aint serving the people standing on those steps wailing to the heavens, he is electioneering to those daft enough to be sucked in by his phony religious bunkum. He has sat on his fat a r s e for months doing nothing whilst this crisis worsened. If ordinary folks performed as badly they would be out of a job. Get F---ing real!

- With all that has been happening in America, floods, fires, war, (no famine yet), I''d say we better start doing a little reflecting, a little praying. Seems, like we are on the brink of one of the worst disasters of our lives - a Dimnowit for President. Pray Georgia. Pray for Rain. Somebody has to wash away the tears of the aborted unborn, the tears of a nation committed to destroying everything the Founders ever stood for in creating one of the greatest instruments known to mankind - our Consititution. Pray real hard for rain. Judgment is a coming.
