As a pastor''s wife for over 20 years, I have a hard time relating to these tele-evangelists & their lifestyles. Many, including the Copelands, the Roberts and the Hinns, teach that horrendous "word-faith" doctrine that turns Jesus into some kind of cosmic genie who will grant your every wish if just have enough faith in your faith. Jesus is not a Santa Claus ready to get you everything on your list because you are good. My husband and I do not own our own home, we drive used cars and shop at Wal-Mart. But we can relate to the people in our church because we don''t live above them or have a more lavish lifestyle. I don''t think it''s wrong for Christians to have nice things. But the Bible also tells us that our treasure is in heaven, not on this earth. Somehow I cannot picture Gloria Copeland working at a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving, or Richard Roberts visiting a family who lives in a trailer park. How can you related to the average Christian when you are so removed from the congregation by having a multi-million dollar house with a gate and security? How can you minister to someone who can''t pay their rent or their utilities bill? These tele-evangelists can defend their lifestyle all they want - but their ministry is shallow at best because they are able to afford these extravagent homes, cars and clothing by the donations of people who think they are giving to God. When they stand before the Lord someday, they will have to give an account for this.

I''m certain that God enjoys it when we are financially successful, including ministers. The primary concern here is that we all comply with the ethics and guidelines governing tax exempt charitable organizations. If ministry leaders are doing things that appear to be deceptive, even dishonest, though it may be legal, if people see that it%u2019s for the purpose of bringing themselves wealth, it says more about their character than anything else. I don%u2019t believe you can honestly teach that God wants ministers to be poor, however, I also believe it%u2019s revealing when a minister becomes overly focused on personal wealth to the extent that his teaching becomes dominated by it, or that he or she is willing to practice something that is suspect. Secular business is filled with such people; let''s at least work hard to keep it out of our church leadership. Ministers should exercise more wisdom with regard to their approach to personal wealth. People must be confident that their pastors attention and energy is not detracted by money.

If I decide to give every penny I work for to a man or women of God and end up broke what is it to any of you. Just like Bush can take all our money, and kill our kids, and you people continue to support him at least I beleive that thru God all things are possible. I''m not not looking to a crooked politician or a wall street financial adviser to bless me. And even if you read the bible but you have no understanding or a man or women of God who is grounded in the word to teach you none of this won''t matter. 7-11 takes poor people''s money every day in the lottery.I don''t see you quick to judge protesting to them. The day of judgement don''t call on the name of Jesus, call on Bush and the Republicans and see where that gets you

Hello, First of all I FEEL GOD is in the BLESSING Business. He will bless you to the highest. God do have men who he uses to put his word out, for those you don''t understand the Bible, read the Bible for themselves or know the blessings, GOD will give you.

My concern is that I have prayed and prayed many days, months, years to GOD that all 3 of my children get off Drugs and Alcohol, be successful, live for GOD. Go back to Church as they were raised. My prayer for my children has not been answered. These men of GOD why are they so Blessed, financial.

I know GOD loves us all but what about me and my children. My parents were Christians, I was raised to go to church, love GOD, have faith in GOD and I did all this and my life and my children life is no where near these men of GOD. Why? Do GOD have special people? Yes, I struggle, I had my children blessed and given back to GOD as babies to guide their lives. But they are all on Drugs. I take my hat off for these men of God for their success, These men of GOD did GOD call them to be Bishop, Prophets, Pastors, if so pray for people like my children, help people like me who need fianacial help, who need a mentor, counselor, because its not easy looking at your family daily using drugs, alcohol, and having no one to help me, talk with me its a mental sickness for parents. Send me a response for help, and prayers. God knows who I am. Charma, P. O. Box 23002, Lansing, MI 48911. God Bless you all

I am a Christian and to be honest, I find it disgusting what these people do! Come to Jesus and He will make you rich!!????

To those who say that somehow Jesus condones those who bow down to the almighty dollar .. have you ever even read your bible??? It has alot to say about worshiping idols lol ..

If you don''t think these televangelists worship something else aside from the One true God .. you best find Jesus quick and let Him heal your blind eyes and ears!

And those of you who mock or don''t believe the truth .. well .. I honestly can''t say I blame ya .. seeing what you see on tv being preached as IF THAT was God .. going by televangelists .. I wouldnt be a believer either ..

on the other hand .. there IS a REAL GOD out there .. He just generally doesn''t make the ''headlines'' .. normally you find Him out there TRUELY helping the poor, healing the broken hearted etc .. not trying to ''make a buck!''

You wanna find God .. don''t look to your tv screens .. look inside your hearts .. or where the ''least'' dwell .. thats where HE hangs out ..

It only stands to reason, that Blessing/s...and great ones at that, will follow the man/woman, who is following God. God desires to Bless...His people, and that quite richly! Its always news reporters, looking for the tv evangelist who is making too much of a living, and...ahh what do these make in their checks, drive for a car, fly out in daily/weekly...live in...All of them...are too living quite well, and for doing what, reporting to us, all the depressing and bad, that is continually going on around us. I can''t see all the questionings. What about your Singers, like Brittany Spears, used to a life style of spending 100,000 per month!!!! That is sickening. You see, Solomon in the Bible, was Blessed more than any other!! David, blessed, Abraham, blessed! And we as Christians...are promised blessing! Great blessing. Why is it, men,Always have to look for the bad, in something, or someone, why not look at all the good, these tv evangelists are...doing, and that daily!!...God Bless them more, for all they do! And God bless us every one, as we would do things for HIM.

If you are stupid enough to believe morons like Dollar, Roberts, Baker, etc., etc., etc., and countless others like them, you deserve to be freed of your money. Hopefully, you give it all to them, too. They earned every cent of it for being the perfect salesman at the expense of your desire to momentarily appease your guilt-ridden sins.

You fine believers can lay your palms on the monitor now and Pastor Reel-Crazy will help whisk away a sin residing within you for the low price of $19.95. Multiple sin elimination discounts available upon request....

Sulaiman (Solomon) was the son of Daud (David), and the king of Israel. He didn''t gain his riches by pimping the poor with promises of "pie in the sky by and by", he was born into the royal family. There is a big difference, even though he was the product of an affair between king Daud and Batsheba, wife of Uriah, whom Daud had whacked.

Gullible people have been giving their lives and their life savings to self righteous religious nuts for centuries and they sure aren''t going to stop now.

P.S. By the way, King Solomon was the wisest and richest man in history. He was chosen by God to take the throne after Kind David. If you know anything about him, he was quite the lavish one. He even built the first temple exactly the way God had asked him too with gold, silver and bronze and fine linens. Then when Harod built the second temple, he built it in the same fashion, but bigger! God will ultimately be the judge.
