I''m from southwestern PA. I believe in UFOs, because I saw this one. There was another one in June or July of the next year (summer 1966). I saw it, too. That''s the night all the lights went out in New York, and UFO sightings were coming in from all over the northeastern states. Once you''ve seen one, you don''t care what anyone says. You KNOW they exist.

Mankind is a species that is far more like an injured bear, than like anything else he can define himself to be. He bases his existence on unpredictability. He bases his consciousness on it. He bases his meaning on it. That, inandof itself is a thing quite provocatively and arguably unintelligent.

And fact fictotum: The fact that the universe is large, does not equate to the universe being "full of life". That is a fallacy. In fact, its quite the opposite. Our lack of ability to find an earth like planet suggests that life in the universe is actually quite a rare thing. Rarer than we might believe..

"I have never seen one. It seems VERY unlikely that this planet is the ONLY place in all of the infinite variety of universes that has "intelligent" life. Even this one universe is so unbelievably huge (at least 156 billion light-years wide!) that the odds of intelligent life somewhere out there must be close to 100%."

Well, first of all: What''s intelligence? The CIA? I mean intelligence is a matter of consciousness as we know it. Who''s to say that the wind isn''t intelligent? You''re looking for something familiar. And its the same thing with the stars.. You''re looking for a planet earth. But fact of the matter is, we have no monopoly on what intelligence is. In fact, I think we have more of a monopoly on what stupid is, rather than what intelligence is.

Intelligence is a measure of how insignificant something is. How much it fits into its surroundings. And not a matter of contrast, or lack of compatibility such as the way we define ourselves. We build our cities to look different than whats likely the most technologically sophisticated system in all the universe, which is nature. We compete in stupidities, not intelligences. Our ingenuities are all natural natural ingenuities simply rediscovered as if they were never natural in the first place, and our own ideas.. Our own patents.

No, if you''re looking for intelligence, look for the thing that seems as though it were nothing.

Answer: "Tough love" courses on what NOT to do; or, How To Commit Planetary Suicide Through Environmental Degradation.

If the "government" (as the public knows it) has knowledge of the extraterrestrial presence, no law or court is going to pry away the information. These lawsuits are fruitless.

crzmeat says, "THIS IS ABOUT UFO''s NOT WAR CRIMES"

How true. However, when some crazed loonie posts such drivel as SlipSter01 has, sometimes it seems like it would be a good idea to respond.

Now, as to the topic of UFO''s...

I have never seen one. It seems VERY unlikely that this planet is the ONLY place in all of the infinite variety of universes that has "intelligent" life. Even this one universe is so unbelievably huge (at least 156 billion light-years wide!) that the odds of intelligent life somewhere out there must be close to 100%.

But why would any of them want to come here?

Part 3 of 3 parts:

Under this law, Bush is subject to the death penalty for his criminal violations (torturing people) of the Geneva conventions. That fact that Gonzales called the Geneva conventions "quaint" and "outdated" is irrelevant. The torture which Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Gonzales, etc. ALL AUTHORIZED also violates several other sections of US and international law.

They are war criminals, plain and simple.

Why ANYONE would support such evil people at this late date is completely beyond me!

SlipSter01, you asked about the Federal law concerning war crimes committed by Bush, so here''s something for you to consider:

(BTW, a$$wipe, there''s no need to post the SAME stu/pid text over and over again!)

Part 1 of 3 parts:
TITLE 18 PART I CHAPTER 118 ' 2441

' 2441. War crimes

(a) Offense.%u2014 Whoever, whether inside or outside the United States, commits a war crime, in any of the circumstances described in subsection (b), shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for life or any term of years, or both, and if death results to the victim, shall also be subject to the penalty of death.

(b) Circumstances.%u2014 The circumstances referred to in subsection (a) are that the person committing such war crime or the victim of such war crime is a member of the Armed Forces of the United States or a national of the United States (as defined in section 101 of the Immigration and Nationality Act). In the US --We The People ARE THE GOVERNMENT.
That means if we want to know--we want to know-- not have a bunch of big daddy types dictate to us and tell us how to think because they ar supposedly "in the know" and supposedly think better than we do, IN THE DARK, IN THE BLACK OPS.

WE WANT THE SECRECY ENDED-- NOT JUST ABOUT KECKSBURG.

WE DO HAVE "A NEED TO KNOW".

There is to much black op Special Access Program MONEY sloshing around-- and that is a problem that must be dealt with.

NASA and OTHERS (alphabet agencies, Space Command, Navy, Air Force, Huachuca, Belvoir, Fermilab,...etc., will soon realize that they need to start owning up to the reality of the UFO situation--even if this one turns out to be an old Soviet Capsule with a nuke in it.

"SlipSter01, since you grabbed some Clinton act over 10 years ago, I imagine that you support the almost trillion dollars we have spent in Iraq under false pretenses.

I hope the war criminal you voted into office ends up in a cold wet concrete cell with nothing but a shoelace. Spandau Prison would work - and they have enough openings for Cheney, Condi, Rummy, and the rest of the cabal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Posted by Vet_SK at 08:16 PM : Oct 27, 2007"

1. A$$, I ddidn''t bring Clinton into this discussion.

2. The Trillion I support. Your claim as to ''false'' I protest. Your opinion, not mine. I did over 20 years in the service, and I have no problem with us defending ourselves from terrorists and liberals like you.

3. AND WOULD ONE OF YOU CLINTON A$$WIPERS POINT OUT UNDER FEDERAL CODE WHAT LAW HAS BEEN BROKEN IN WHICH YOU KEEP CLAIMING WAR CRIMES? OR SHUT THE *** UP!
