Just a cover up. No way, He needs to sue.

He needs to keep his mouth shut for a while. The school has a right to bring charges against him if they wish.

Holy COW! if talking too long, and shouting political questions to a US senator at an open mic session at a university and very Minorly resisting being thrown out by 4 cops, is "WELL WITHIN state guidlines", then whats borderline?
Looking the wrong way at a cop? Talking without raising your hand first? wearing the wrong clothing? having the wrong political views?
Watch yourself in Florida or you may be shouting- "Dont taze me Bro!! Dont taze me! ..Yiiiaaagghaah!!"

Frreedom of speech is one thing, freedom to ''monopolize'' communication is something else entirely. This jerk and everyone else had a time limit at the mike. He had no right to take someone elses time after abusing his own by a solid stream of questions, accusations and abusive behavior that never gave Kerry a chance to say anything until Meyer was taken in hand by the campus police.
This whole deal was a planned attempt at ''Grandstanding'' by the student. He wanted his (15 minutes of Fame), well he got it and a tasering for good measure. (bet he doesn''t let it go that far again, TASERS HURT!!!.)

He deserves what he got and should have been treated a bit more harshly he got off easy. He knew the rules and what was expected and to blatantly ignore police when ordered was a violation and he deserves the Jolt he received. Jerks like him abound in todays society.

I''m sure many felt the same way during the anti-war protests of the 60s. However, since the young man showed no signs of violence, and was merely trying to use his 1st admendment rights, were the police correct in their actions. Most police today seem to have a superiority complex.
My local school system cops harrass my son, who is home-schooled. Yesterday, he was walking from his grandmothers house to a local restaurant to put in an employment application, when the local campus cop pulled over, and wrote him a ticket, for being out during school hours. This is not a one time occurance. However, his mother and I can''t go to the school to complain about it, as we have both been cited with writs of criminal trespassing and will be arrested if step foot on campus.

ok we all saw the video a lot of times, and no where in there does it appear that HE is violent or doing anything justifying more than tossing him out of the building.
And Kerry even kept saying "No, its alright. I''ll answer his questions."
Yet these goons reported - "Officers decided not to escalate to hard empty hand strikes, kicks, knees or baton ... (it) would have looked like the officers were beating Meyer into submission," the report said.
---duh!! they WOULD have been beating him into submission.
Then it says - "In short, the FDLE determined that our officers acted well within state guidelines," university President Bernie Machen said in a letter to students, faculty and staff.

One more nail in the coffin of the United States. Cripe! When you can watch that video and believe that tazering was necessary. ... My god ... what has happened to the country where governments purpose was to protect our rights, not take them away?
I wish I had the resources to move away.

I don''''t know what the hell is going on with the police these days. Just last week I was on my way to a video arcade, on main street, at 9:45pm, heavy traffic. I forgot where the place is so I make a U turn. I then remembered where it was and made another U turn.
A police car gets behind me and stops me. He tells me I''''m driving suspiciously and that he needs to search my car. I wouldn''''t let him. So he calls K9.
They have the dog go around my car 4 or 5 times sniffing the outside and then sticking its head through the open windows to sniff some more. The dog kept quiet.
He then says, "Well, you were going 46 on 40" and gives me a $165 ticket.
Truly amazing. And I''''m getting ready to foreclose my condo.
The b.astards.

I am glad the police were cleared. They were just doing the job they were trained to do. If the student didn''t want to be arrested he should have followed the rules like everone else. When he resisted the police he put himself in the situation that caused his taseing. He got what he asked for. Good job Fla. police.
