You can say things about men you do not know, Rev. Al Sharpton has done alot people of different color but yes, he may have the right to speak up for blacks, and there is nothing wrong with that; but the sad thing is that you see that theses young men deserve to be treated with harsh punishment but yet the young men that hung the noose should have just gotten off with a small suspension!! A man said earlier today that this world is geared up for a Civil War and if we as people keep turning our head and not looking into racism and trying better to educate, then we will have a Civil War; people that seems to think that the march in Jena was too much instead of the start of finally people saying enough is enough stop all this hate....we can never judge anyone but we should try to do the right thing, and whether people see it or not will always be the outcome of hatred. We were right to march in Jena, and if people still think that it caused trouble then we did something right!!
That''s how I see things; keep this in your hearts: May God be with you in all you do, for peace be still.

Oh BOO-HOO Cry me a friggin river...The thug was on probation for a previous violent crime...He belongs in prison...
When your on probation you know full well that if you break the law again you can be sent to prison...They can send you to prison if all you did was get a speeding ticket while on probation...This thug attacked another person and did bodily harm...He should get a free ticket outta jail because Al notsosharpton speaks his racial c r a p?
Grow some balls and do your time...

I am not sure I understand this whole thing...here is a kid with 4 criminal acts...that broke the law...the three previous crimes were not race related...the fourth was...but, should be thrown out? Only because Jesse and Al say so...things are tough on this family not because of color but, because of their son...His dad stated he is in and out jail again and again...try parenting...This kid is bound for prison and not because of his but, his actions...he thinks he is untouchable now...Well I guess he is not...

Correct me if I am wrong, the gentleman is out on bond for this beating he gave a caucasion person. The Judge decides to say he violated his bond for another incident he did Prior to the beating of the Caucasion student, Am I missing something or is something wrong with this picture? Either the judge is an a**hole or have serious issues in his head.. How many cases has bond violation occurred been made retroactive? Given this I think the Judge should be investigated for Prior judgements. He may not be fit for the bench. If this is allowed in American law, then this country has already went to Hell in a Handbasket!!!

klingon, you conveniently forget that he also threatened the black kids with a gun?

No, I didn''t forget the gun, actually I believe there were two instances that a gun was involved, one was the convenience store and I don''t think a name was ever given for that person, and the other was Barker bring a gun to school after the beating. I ask again, had there been threats either stated or implied that may have made him fear for his life and safety, remember this was after the beating?

So what do you think they should have done to Barker? Nothing?
Which is absolutely what they did. That is not right!!

I agree it isn''t right, however, other than the taunts, what did he do to provoke the severe beating he received? Remember the gun at school incident happened after the beating.

Barker and three friends hung a noose in a tree at school. Not a crime, just stupidity, but that is not a crime in itself, but they were suspended from school as punishment.

Then Bell and FIVE friends attacked and beat Barker for hanging the noose. Ok... then what? So they should just walk free after physically attacking Barker??

But... Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson came around and stired it up and made things worse, as usual, and are all up in arms because of the punishment earned by Bell and friends. What do they expect, NO punishment at all for Bell and friends?

If the shades of the skin of Bell and Barker were reversed, would Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson come around or even care? NO. NOT THEN, NOT NOW, NOT EVER.

And both of these men say they are not racist and Jesse Jackson just wants equality for ALL??

Hmm... think again on THAT one.
