Suspended Student Injures 5 Before Killing Himself
- Good school very impressive it''s a shame this incident happened, although it doesn''t mar the school''s reputation, and great concept teaching kids entrepreneurship and vocational skills.
It''s sad what teachers and educators have to contend with in trying to help some of these troubled kids... - Reply to this comment
- The "Law and Order" types are out tonight! It''s all about "personal responsibility" and corporeal punishment for them! Our society hasn''t gone to hell because we''ve all gone crazy with fear and we turn on the violence at the drop of a hat. NO, they say! It''s obviously the fault of those terrible "liberals" who say that beating kids doesn''t actually teach them "respect"; it teaches them to use violence to try to solve their problems. Never mind the scientific proof to the contrary, all our problems will just disappear if we apply a little more violence to the situation!
Guess what? Violence breeds violence, not respect. It does not solve anything. It always creates more problems than it solves. Period. If one of you little Nazis says different, it won''t make it so. It will just mean you are an ig-norant fo-ol.
This story doesn''t give ANY CLUE as to why this lunatic child came to school with a gun or why he shot several people and then killed himself. Some kids said he threatened other kids last week. Why didn''t the school do something about it then? Doesn''t say. Why suspend him this week? Doesn''t say. Why did the school think that suspension would solve anything if they knew he had threatened to kill everybody? Doesn''t say.
Based on this almost complete lack of information, the Repugnant Ones crawl out of their little holes and begin to spout hatred and lies about "liberals", whom they blame for everything they think is wrong with this country. What pathetic losers they are! - Reply to this comment
- Simplemind2 no justis not served six people are still shot and could die that does not make for justis.
This is becoming to much of an epidemic children solving problems with guns, your attitude will help to keep this going. And where is the great Rev Al and Jessie because this is not a race crime they won''t bother to make an issue of this. - Reply to this comment
- emsaund1: Good for you. But why do you assume that people you call "liberals" always blame Bush or others and never take responsibility for themselves? I assure you that there are plenty of good, decent people on the other side of the political spectrum.

- xzavierbrown: I''m not offended at all. Seems like politics pervades everything these days. And of course it''s the other side that''s at fault.

- emsaund1: Sounds like you''''re taking responsibility alright, by blaming others.

- INCOGNITO: I''m just laying out what I believe are the facts. However, if you would have read my earlier posts, you would have seen that I have, and will continue, to work, and take responsibility for my own, and my childrens lives and behaviour.

- DMHPHILS -- Bravo, you too, are exactly correct. If I may expound on what you just posted, at birth, we have an instinct for survival (Those instincts are supported by the nastiest of emotions: anger, greed, selfishness, murder for survival)
We are human beings. That''s they way we are. We are not born with common sense, knowing the difference between right and wrong, and the emotions that are described above.
If not taught those differences with positive reinforcement, one would tend to fall back on their basic primitive instincts of survival. - Reply to this comment

- God is Good. Kick God out of the thoughts of children...kick good out of their minds too. If you think that children are naturally good and just do some bad things, look again. When did anyone have to teach a little kid to disobey? They will just naturally do it and test you to see if you will stop them or not. No, children must be taught to do the right thing.....no need to teach them how to do the wrong.....they already know that. We have allowed the new-age psychiatrists to brain wash our society on how to raise our children. Love with discipline never failed, but because most could not love, they just beat the poop out of their kids and produced rebellion to authority in their hearts. This is just going to get worse because we have thrown out the instruction book on life, which is God''s word. You cannot deny this.....the evidence is overwhelming.

- KRENZ4: You are correct. And, I will give you the root cause of all the problems you stated.
1. Breakdown of Common Sense?
2. No one taking responsibility for their actions?
3. Suing everyone around you?
4. Cant discipline your kids without fear of retribution of the police?
5. Blame the Bush administration for everything that%u2019s been going wrong for the last 50 years?
The answer to all these questions is: LIBERAL SOCIETY - Reply to this comment
- I think the real problem is the breakdown of common sense in our society. No One is taking personal responsibility for being, dumb, for being an druggie, or an alki, or a pedophile or a killer or a loser. Everyone wants to sue someone else for "making them that way" Causing me distress, or ''scaring me" Nobody admits that their kids are bad, you cant smack a child in the mouth for filthy language, yo cant make students show respect for one another or you are stepping on their ''rights". Our children know what is wrong or right, they just care more about what they perceive as their ''rights".Adults in this society are the same way, so "politically correct" that common sense has flown out the window. Hey, its not my fault, blame the Bush Administration, its not my fault, I have mental health issues that the state wont pay for, Not my faultI was influenced by the media, As a matter of fact, Im gonna sue!

- Continuation to CRZMEAT:
5. Ween ourselves off of the foreign dependence to oil. Make a smooth transition to alternative fuels to lower the costs of not only alternative fuels, but that will in turn lower prices to food stuffs, etc...
6. Cut the work week back about 10 hrs, but do not decrease the wages of working families. This will be a lot less stressful and will promote families spending more time with their kids.
7. As President, he can force all governer to open up the budget books, and cut out all unnecessary expenditures (Such as policing corruption, firing the 6 old codgers that taste tea for $150 thousand dollars per year, etc...) Things like this will allow us to continue the growth rate here in the US as well as having enough money to promote democracy around the world.
There''s some pretty good reasons right there. - Reply to this comment
- CRZMEAT: Actually, I spelled it out in an earlier post. Here''s how we basically get back to real business concerning our kids:
1. Wipe out the govt interference in our lives that was set up by liberal society. That''s 90 percent of the problem right there.
2. You dont have to be abusive, but once we get back to the traditional society and principles this country was founded on, we can get back to seriously punishing our children when they get out of line without fear of retribution by the police (an intrusion set forth by liberal policies enacted by touchy-feely parents, sell-out politicians that pandered to those groups, and nosey people sticking their noses into other peoples family business)
3. Promote the marriage foundation and strengthen the family.
4. Keep electing Republicans to office. They will keep the taxes low. Families tend to stress out less when they have a little money in their pockets
To be continued.... - Reply to this comment
- Something has got to be done and soon. As if our students don''t have enough to worry about already; they have people whipping out guns and slaughtering one another...
