The jury system is a stupid joke and should be abolished. OJ Simpson, the murderous preacher-killer wife in Tennessee, the Spector trial and now this. People carry their bias''s into the jury room! Besides, most jurors called upon for long trials are nearly retarded (the smart ones get out of jury duty). We should have a "judge" system only!

I was born and raised in Utah and I''ve seen these people turn a blind eye to polygamy and sexual abuse all my life. The F.L.D.S. and the mainstream Mormon church have many people that play both sides of the fence.They hung on to polygamy alot longer than you''ll ever hear them say they did, and they watch out for each other.They''ll never convict him in southern Utah.They need to do it in Salt Lake or better yet, out of the state of Utah entirely.Every story on the local news gives the church ''s opinion on the subject.They still pull the strings behind the Zion curtain.Don''t let them fool you.

Did anyone for a second think it would be a fair trial in Utah in any other stat deliberations would have been under an hour but there protecting there own and there history. Wonder what Roomey thinks.

I don''t see how they could be deadlocked. But then again, I am not there, and don''t know all the facts...I guess from the outside though it just seems like a simple case. Guilty. Maybe it''s not as cut and dry when you hear all the testimony. If I was on the jury however, I am thinking guilty would be my verdict.
