waynabq,

i think it can. i do agree we need to bring our troops home. but what happens when we bring them home and 1 month later another 9/11 occurs? are people going to say, "bush should have stuck to his guns. he let opinion polls sway his resolve...now he''''s guilty of this new american blood that has been spilled"

Why do you assume that being in Iraq is preventing a terrorist attack? Terrorists could be planning a 911 attack from anywhere. Only gullible fools would believe Bush tying Iraq with keeping us safe. When Patraeus was asked "Do you think our presence in Iraq is making the U.S. safer?"

Do you know what is reply was? It was "I don''t know"

The 911 attacks were committed by 14 Saudi nationals and five others from other countries in the Middle East, NONE of them were Iraqi.

How about the shooting in Columbine, the shootings at Virginia Tech and the Timothy McViegh bombing? Do you think occupying Iraq is going to prevent these type of "terrorist attacks"

Think about the war on crime, proverty and drugs and now the "war on terror". Do you think invading or occupying a country is going to win this war.

If you do, you better start having discussions with Lars more often.

alpha,

what about the "rich" who already have health insurance for their children....this bill would give them government funded insurance...at our expense.

is that a good idea?

Bush: "Our goal should be to move children who have no health insurance to private coverage..."

Pie-In-The-Sky from a fellow who has no idea how expensive and ever-increasingly costly, "private coverage" is.

Bush has been wealthy since the day he was born. He has no idea what he''s talking about.

Our goal is to get that selfish fruitcake, and all his Bush-lite would-be successors, out of power and a long way from the Oval Office.

The first 3 words of this story''s title say it all:

"Bush Threatens Kids"

And my 3-word response is, "Impeach the mo-fo!"
