Comments on: Nebraska State Senator Sues God
Democrat Says He's Making A Point -- Seeks Permanent Injunction Against Almighty
- Go Uncle Ernie!!
You have to meet this man to appreciate how kind and wonderful he is to the African American Community in Nebraska. When he leaves office, a great representative of that community will be lost. I may not always appreciate his perspective, but I certainly appreciate his style! - Reply to this comment
- To play devil''s advocate (so to speak) let''s say God goes to trial and loses.
What is the worst that could happen as far as sentence/fines/penalties?
Anybody know? - Reply to this comment
- He''s not trying to prove or disprove there being a God. He''s just showing that there are so many frivolous and meaningless lawsuits (remember the lawsuit of $50 million for lost pants?) being brought to court. He''s making a very good point and at the same time I think he will have a fun time with this. How will they throw this out? They can''t!!

- As an agnostic is Sen Chambers trying to prove he believes or prove he denies God. How can you sue someone that doesn''t possess the power or qualities you claim to deny?

- Chambers says he isn''t suing God because he has any kind of beef with the deity. He says the suit is to fight possible laws restricting the filing of frivolous lawsuits. Chambers tells KPTM FOX 42 News that his lawsuit is in response to bills brought forth by other state senators to try and stop lawsuits from being filed.
"The Constitution requires that the courthouse doors be open, so you cannot prohibit the filing of suits," Chambers says. "Anyone can sue anyone they choose, even God."
Chambers bases his ability to sue God, as, "that defendant, being omnipresent, is personally present in Douglas County."
So is he fighting FOR frivolous lawsuits or against them? Either way, he should be removed from office on the basis of insanity because he has filed a lawsuit against someone that he isn''t sure even exists or not.
Or by filing the lawsuit, has this state senator just proven without any shadow of a doubt that God does exist? - Reply to this comment
- Glad I don''t live in Nebraska. Even the politicians scare me. Don''t have enough to do sue God.

- "READ, PEOPLE!
"Chambers, said he filed the lawsuit to show that ANYBODY can file a legal action against ANYBODY for ANY reason."
It''''s about time that someone stand up and say enough is enough with the FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS!
And if mockery of the foolishness of the suing system will do the trick and tamp down the FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS, then you go, Sen Emie Chambers.
As for the suit against god, we are sure that a lot of the christian charlatans will seek to represent god; but they will have to first take time out from sodomizing and traumatizing the children in their evil Churches of Child Sodomy.

He''s mocking God. Simple as that. Doesn''t matter in what name he mocks. Its blasphemy plain and simple.
As are you.
You may want to reconsider your choices in this life.
May He have mercy on your ignorance and forgive your slander. - Reply to this comment
- I say hire the mormons to defend him.
Also, will they have the Virgin Mary testify?
Hope they don''t dig up any dirt on her. - Reply to this comment
- So stupid!! He is wasting the court''s time, as if the court system isn''t backed up enough. And suing God, yah ok, good luck with that one. And it wouldn''t be just Christians getting fussy either--- he never said "Christian God" or "Allah" or "Jehovah" Honestly this guy is hilarious and sad a tthe same time..
