gramma, crzmeat is a Mainer. To me he doesn''t come off as bitter. Had I not told you dear you never know I am to a Mainer. He got wisked good homour..the cookie jar story..He has just a different way of saying thing. People do use others as dumping gounds for unwanted dogs..never thinking can the one the dog is dumped on can affaord it.
erasmus6 I like you. MS Word has spell check...It would not work on the boards. Think the person will learn....need a book on the SO platform plus learn we are all human..
I alway learn some thing..I don''t blame the dog as they help us legally blind. I don''t have a dog.
I have no feeling for that prick dragging a dog. That is a cold person.

Responsible ownership starts from the time your Pit Bull comes to live with you. Irresponsible owner''s are one of the major causes for all the problems the breed faces today. It''s our hope here at Pit Bull Lovers we can spread the word and educate more owners to take responsibility for their dogs actions.

In order for things to change, we must change the way we look at our own actions and how they effect the world around us. Until we do that, things will simply stay the way they are right now.

About the American Pit Bull Terrier
The Pit Bull is blessed with tenacious athletic ability (the ultimate super dog), loyalty, intelligence, and high energy. These dogs are not lap dogs or a dog for the lazy person.

They are not fashion accessories or macho-tough-guy symbols. American Pit Bull Terriers are a breed apart from every other canine on earth.

No other breed in history has been so misunderstood or made the villain as long or as often as the Pit Bull. Sadly, these trends continue 20 years after they started.

A pit bull is another facet of God, as they were bred by man and we are in His image. How you treat that animal is how you will be judged. It is a reflection of someone unsuccessfully coming to grips with their own fears that drives them to make fearful statements. If Denver, stomping grounds of the Colorado Springs Airforce academy hadn''t banned pitbulls, the World Trade Center towers would still be there. Shame on you, Denver.

"Give me a break, it''''s a only a Pitbull. The guy probably had felt threatened from this dog at that moment, and felt he had to get rid of it somehow before he actually killed someone or something." posted by thecantzs

That is all well and good, but shooting it is one thing and dragging it is quite another! If he shot and killed the dog, what is the purpose of dragging it???? He is a whacko and needs to be put in jail. People like him that lose control like that, shouldn''t be walking around.

Some facts about Pit bulls

Pit bulls as pets

A champion Pit Bull.In many shelters across the United States, Pit bulls or dogs that appear to be pit bulls comprise a large portion of the shelter''s population and may be destroyed due to the stigma associated with the breed (or because of overcrowding). [4]

Although friendliness and tolerance towards humans are traits of the breed, there are, as in any breed, those that are dangerous toward humans. It is the owner''s responsibility to be in total control of his dog(s), and it is the owner who, through intentional mistreatment or neglect, is frequently responsible for pit bull bites. Many attacks by other dog breeds are misclassified as "pit bulls" by media reports

Nothing is said if the pit bull attacked the guy after killing his little dog. If the pit attacked the owner, then that might be another reason why the guy reacted the way he did. I don''t like pits at all and I would never trust a pit ever.

All of you who are blaming it on the dog have not owned many dogs or been around people who treat their dogs as family. I have owned alot of dogs since I was young and kept all of them until they died of natural causes. None of my dogs have ever been mean, I would not own a mean dog.My dogs would defend me and my family out of instinct and I have witnessed this myself. None of them have ever turned on any of the other dogs in the family. When I owned Sarah(the pit bull) I also owned a pekinese and a dobermann. They played together and played with my daughter and other kids. It''s not the dog it''s the way the dog is raised.

That pitt bull had no business anywhere near the chihuhua; yet such a tragedy HAS to be handled by the HUMANE SOCIETY, not by someone driven out of his mind by shock..I blame BOTH owners; tho the Pitt would likely have been put down, there IS something called HUMANITY and DECENCY! Not a distraught owner compunding tragedy with ANOTHER tragedy!(That is BARBARIC!) God Bless both the dogs; and may they find PEACE and Love in Heaven by THE RAINBROW BRIDGE..
