Just where do you get off saying that all pit owners are thugs and criminals? We have a giant american pit and I can assure you that we are law abiding citizens who take responsibility for our actions. It is people like you who lack the ability to think in rational terms that are the "thugs". We are both college educated and although now retired held responsible positions as teachers. Try to remember that is better to keep silent and appear stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The funny part in this story that all of you seem to be missing is that there was a person out there who owned both a pit bull and a Chihuahua at the same time. HA HA HA. Who ever heard of such a combo before? One might as well own a timber wolf and a snow bunny.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. To say that ALL pit bulls should be destroyed is absurd. It is NOT the dog but the owner who is the problem. Having had dogs all my life I can tell you that the pit bull that I now have is the sweetest most gentle dog I have ever had. Any breed can be vicious depending upon how they are treated. If you show an animal love that is what you will get back. To think of someone dragging an animal to death makes my blood run cold. This guy should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. And you should be ashamed of your stupid comment.

I am an animal lover myself. I didnt see the point in shooting the dog first then dragging him. This is clearly an animal cruelty case here. However, when I was 12 yrs old, it was a pit bull that killed my very first pet cat. It was very traumatic for many years to watch this animal maul my cat right before my eyes. However, it never dawned on me to seek revenge on an animal. I simply got another cat and remembered my lost loved one. The pit bulls owner was very sorry, but, only had the dog tied up by a rope in the yard. Pit bull owners need closed in fences for these animal. A pit bull has great strength when they want to attack or are provoked as well. A chain is the only thing I can see that will halfway keep them intact. By no means should anyone or animal endure what this animal endure regardless if he killed or not.
