Dang this sounds like Wichita Kansas,with a population of a half a million,east and west coast people started moving here around 15 yrs ago and when they did they brought their daughters and sons who belong to some of the worst gangs.

With the drug cartel trafficing right through Kansas on I-70 daily,there''s always big bust going on out there. With unemployment the rate of 6.2 percent being out of work,it''s no wonder men and women go to the wrong side of the law to make ends meet.

I have a police scanner that I listen to daily and believe me when I say that the local news doesn''t tell about all the crime happening and it''s worse than what they make it out ot be and I know which parts of the city I wouldn''t live in due to crime.

Anyway whether it''s florida or somewhere else it''s getting worse and we don''t have enough police to handle it and they aren''t getting paid enough to risk their lives for it citizens. We people need to help the officers the best we can to cut down on drugs and crime.

My prayers go to the families of those officers who were injured in the incident and I pray they get their man.

Hwy71 I couldn''t agree with you more. Instead of paying the big dollars to movie stars and sports figures weshould be paying our police departments more. I''d like to see any of the aforementioned go out and do what police (and firefighters) do on a daily basis and then whine about the money that they do/don''t get paid.

Thats why I moved out of there 17 years ago, Crime is Badd, Drugs were Rampet, Illegals everywhere, Its almost if not as badd as LA. Its a cess-pool, waiting to cave in on itself !!! Glad I moved !! You can have that place ! Florida is a known place for Criminals anyway !!! and Hurricanes too !!
