I don''t know where all of this racist *** some people come up with came from, but it''s sick.

For those of you who like to spout the 2nd Amendment, the ENTIRE amendment reads: "In order to ensure a well-regulated militia, the right to bear arms shall not be infringed." The whole point of the 2nd amendment was so that the government didn''t come into your house and do what they wanted without your due process. Given that a police officer was shot at a routine traffic stop here, I''m thinking that the reasons behind the second amendment do not apply here.

I agree it''s the person responsible, not the gun. However, take this situation. Stand next to the person you wish to kill. Can you use a knife? Sure. A club? No problem. A gun? Easily. Now, walk 100 feet away from said person and ask those same three question. Good luck killing someone 100 feet away with a club. If you''re successful with the knife, you''re very talented. The gun would be as easy to use from 100 feet away: just need to aim more carefully.

Our founding fathers were worried about the government attacking its own citizens: they never realized we''d try to kill each other. A gun is a very p*ssy way to kill someone. And I''ve told gangbangers that myself.

I think it is very sad what the officer''s families and the suspect''s families are now going through. This makes 4 cops that have died in the line of duty this week - 1 in FL and 3 in TX. Just don''t forget that we do not have all the information on any of these cases so and if the cops did something procedurally wrong we will never hear about it. Don''t get me wrong, I''m not saying that any of these deaths were justified (including the suspects). I just know that cops DO make mistakes and unfortunately can end up very badly for a lot of people.

As for someone''s comments about disarming America... It is in the constitution that we all have the right to bear arms. If we let congress take that away what is next? The right of free speech, or maybe the right to have a lawyer present if we are being questioned?

This dude was already dead the moment he killed that Police Officer, the Police didn''''t kill him, he committed suicide. The Officers that killed him only sped up the inevitable. He was dying one way or the other! Actually this saved the Taxpayers some money, feeding him, housing him, costly trials and appeals, cold but true!

It is a d@mn shame that Brian Nichols didn''t get one between the eyes when he decided to go on a rampage in Atlanta and kill the Judge, Court Reporter, Deputy and Federal Agent. His defense has almost bankrupt the indigent defense fund in Ga.

Got arms?
You want the freedom of buying arms any type, any where? anyone?
You got it !!
Keep arming America and keep killing each other. No rules, no controls. We don''''t need them, right?
Kids, cops, blacks, whites, it doesn''''t matter. We are free, right?
I wonder when will this Country wake up and restrict arms. You can not let people buy arms as you buy candies. To buy a birth control pill or antibiotic is harder than to buy a riffle in this country. Please, wake up. Look at other civilized countries. These crimes only happen in the US but only in the US you can buy an arm with no real restrictions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The constitution says, "the right of the people to own and bear arms shall not be INFRINGED.
Any restriction is an infringement and is unconstitutional.
Today, the normal person out in our society has no knowledge and understanding of possessing a gun. They learn from movies, television shows, and video games. Also it has to do with kids and young adults hanging around the wrong kinds of people, trying to put on a image of being "bad". This is why crime is so high, and our prisons overflowing with offenders. Yes, it would be good if there was a system to teach our kids how to be good with one another. But will that ever happen within todays society? Probably not.
