I don''t know what the evidence was in the previous case, but this is what happens when D.A.s and judges allow someone up on murder 1 to plea bargain to manslaughter and get out in 13 years to become predators again.

Life without the possibility of parole should be instituted for repeat offenders like this.

The thing about racism: it starts with making fun of different groups, then it goes into calling them names, maybe ignoring them at counters and stores and making them wait, then others find every little fault wrong with a group to justify not liking them or for mistreating or judging them.

But, no matter the group or the progression of prejudice, it ends the same way--all of the above a part of a dehumanizing process to justify, why certain things can be said, done to or thought of a certain group--but it always ends up at some point in violence.

it may be just verbal violence, like calling people nappy headed hos----or it can get uglier and end up with beatings, rapes and tortures...or worst of all, in gas chambers and killing fields.

The point is, it always start with the difference and the justification AND most important--with the group doing the hating, denying that it goes on and defending the attitudes and actions until they become too evil to defend.

This happened to a black person, but it could just as easily happen to a hispanic, chinese or other minority or a gay, a fat person or anyone that the perps thought was ''fair game''.

RAcism, is what we call it, but hatred of anything different is what it really is.

These people were rough around the edges, to say the least. You can tell they are bad news just by looking at them. I wonder how she became associated with them in the first place. I''m not blaming the victim, I am a black woman myself and I think that all violent offenders should be off the streets; race should be irrelevant. The mom had already killed an elderly woman and they all have criminal records. I''ll never understand what makes people think THEY''RE safe when they hang around with those who have hurt others. These and their ilk should never see daylight again. Life imprisonment is to kind of a punishment for them.Please bloggers save us the psycho babble about rehabiltation and remorse for their crimes (which eventually one of them will claim). That no matter what, they just might be able to get out due to overcrowding or what ever other reason. But hold on, a life sentence for kidnapping without possiblility of parole is what the prosecutors are going for.

With life sentence and - no possiblitity of parole--that''s life buddy--over crowding or not they may not ever leave. It''s the ''no possibility of parole'' clause which will keep them for the duration of their lives.
