Victim Is Black, Suspects Are White; Cops Consider Hate Crime Charges
- WVaGirl07,
Is it common to make a person eat dog and rat feces, eat the private parts of a 70 year old woman and lock them in a room for a week of torture in West Virginia? If it is, I can understand why this case does not shock you. You have to tell me, but you are making me think Deliverance wasn''t just a movie.
By the way, do you think it is only black people who can pull a race card? - Reply to this comment

- Megan Williams attackers should be lynched!!! (And I Pray for her) But so should the five (5... for you europeans) savages that totured, raped and murdered Channon Christian, a 21-year-old University of Tennessee student, AND her boyfriend, Christopher Newsom, 23. Oh! and buy the way this was also a hate crime. Not one that CBS or any other media outlets are willing to report, however. (Such is the U.S. press ..probably ran by European Canadians in Spain)
The following is a QUOTE (for dummies out there) about the Christian/Newsom Murders.
''Ted Gest, president of the Criminal Justice Journalists group, a national organization of journalists who cover crime, court and prison beats, said interracial crime tends to get more coverage than when the criminal and victim are of the same race.
"But I can''t say that this one would have had any more coverage if five whites had been accused of doing these things to two blacks, absent a blatant racial motive," he said. "As bad as this crime is, the apparent absence of any interest group involvement or any other ''angle'' might also explain the lack of coverage."''

An anti-racism group, the Racially Visible Action Committee (RVAC) of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) called upon all governments in Canada to stop modern day racial segregation.
The Quebec Human Rights Tribunal condemned the Centre Marancher Eughne Guinois Jr. over its policy of refusing to allow its black workers to eat in the company%u2019s cafeteria, ordering them to a separate one without heat, running water or soap. Judge Michhle Pauze said she was "stunned, even scandalized" by the racism, neglect and segregation that took place at the 1,300-acre farm near Montreal. According to testimony, the black workers were verbally and physically abused on several occasions, and were the targets of graffiti that said:

- Its origin lies in the teachings of Wesley Swift, a significant figure in the early Christian Identity movement. Swift combined British Israelism, extreme antisemitism, and political militancy. He founded his own church in California in the mid 1940s where he could preach this ideology. In addition, he had a daily radio broadcast in California during the 1950s and 60s. In 1957, the name of his church was changed to the Church of Jesus Christ-Christian, which is used today by Aryan Nations churches.
In 2002 Kreis mmoved Aryan Nations World Headquarters to a ten-acre compound in rural Potter County, Pennsylvania, which was host to the 2002 Aryan Nations World Congress.
Now where are they from? - Reply to this comment
- Wwcharleston and Kingstan1,
You people amaze me.
When there are multiple reports about missing white women do you get upset that the missing black women are not being reported as well?
If you look at the victims that the media reports 99% of them are white!
If you look at the number of missing persons that are being reported by the media almost 100% of them are white and female and some are not even American!
You mean to tell me that the very small percentage of black victims that are being reported are still too much for you because it means that one case of a white victim is not being reported?
Is that what you are telling me? - Reply to this comment
- OK I am from WV and I do think this is totally wrong that a woman, no matter what her race is, was raped and treated like this. However being from WV my entire life I know that 90% of the state population is white. Now if this was a white girl in the same situation you know that the national news would have never even touched on this story. Just because this is a "hate crime" it gets national attention. I think that is wrong.

According to the report, one of the most notorious racist prison gangs is Aryan Brotherhood, which emerged in the 1960s at California%u2019s San Quentin Prison. This violent gang has since spread to prisons throughout the United States and has been linked to a number of murders, both in and out of prisons.
California is not a southern state last time I checked. - Reply to this comment

"Canada without racism???"
There is one thing that REALLY irritates me (other than ToolMangler), and that is when someone says that I said something that I didn''t.
I did not say that we don''t have racism. I said that we don''t have anywhere near the racism that you have. I said that we don''t have "white" neighborhoods and "black" neighborhoods. Do you actually READ the posts?
Now there are a few places, more so in the very EASTERN part of Canada that have more racism than the vast majority of Canada. - Reply to this comment
