Maybe so, maybe not. In a world of hackers, virus goons and e-mail address rip-offs, anything can virtually happen.

I haven''t read the whole list of comments. However, I did not see where he threatened them. The consequences may be that his reputation is damaged and he wants to shut them up so he doesn''t have to suffer the consequences of accepting the contribution.

In fairness to Doug Lamborn, it sounds like he was implying there would be a defamation lawsuit unless this couple agreed to a "Christian reconciliation."
It didn''''t sound like a threat of physical violence.

Financial violence is nothing to sneeze at.

How is it defamation if Federal records confirm he accepted the donations? If he returned the money, he should be able to produce proof of such a return.

On the other hand, who gives a rat''s arse if he took legal contributions from the gaming industry?

Except, of course, it plays badly when politicians claim to be for truth, justice, the American Way and those elusive "family value"s but their behavior shows otherwise.

But, just another day in politician-land, right? So what''s the big deal?

I am not attacking you, simply noting that your choice of phraseology was seeming to advocate seperating this couple from humanity as a whole and pigeon holing them in a suspicious manner. I am a democrat and have been all my life. I was agreeing with you that we need more time and info but that included before packaging them as ''less'' than worthy of respect. My comment about "prelude to Holocaust" was only to call attention to the effects that ''labeling'' tends to have on groups.

"And like I said I''''d rather resolve this on a Scriptural level but if you are unwilling to do that I will be forced to take other steps, which I would rather not have to do."

Here are the Scriptures Lamborn is referring to:

Corinthians 6:1 [Lawsuits Among Believers] "If any of you has a dispute with another, dare he take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the saints?"

Corinthians 6:7 "The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?"

The man in threatening a lawsuit, not a baseball bat.

Move on, folks. There''s nothing to see here.

"And like I said I''d rather resolve this on a Scriptural level but if you are unwilling to do that I will be forced to take other steps, which I would rather not have to do. So please call me. This is essential."

He''s threatening to sue them, drag them into court, unless they negotiate with him. It''s obvious.

Big deal.

This isn''t Tony Soprano talking here.

If it were a physical threat, would he have left voicemail evidence ?

Yes Germany is very liberal it seems... It''s more European & based pretty much on thier long history & culture..
. Neo-Nazi''s simply have to start adopting Patriotic & religious names for organizations & stop trying to look like Nazi''s.. Watch them grow like what''s happening in our country..

exirsman,,, I understand what you are saying, it does indeed sound kookie, but thier are a whole lot of references, many in the archieves of our government, many can be found in used book stores..
.. There is just too many similarities to ignore.. Including how Hitler rallied Christians, Methodists Protestants etc on issues involving seperation of church & state.. Have you seen the movie Schindler''s List ??

If you get the time look up the writings of Joseph Goebbels,, he''s long winded but you can pick out much of the GOP''s rherotic.. Like "If we are defeted the Allied Forces will invade other nations & Germany & destroy our moral values & country"
