LOL - If they drive like many of my Mexican neighbors around here, I think the Mexican truckers will be the ones who will be running motorists off the road.

Though I have some concerns about Mexican truck drivers that I think need to be addressed, I find the prevalent racism on this blog to be extremely disgusting. im more worried that the mexican trucking industry is more lax on truck safety, driving & traffic laws, and regulation for the safety of the hundreds of millions of passenger drivers on our roads each day. including myself and my family.
Okay, so now all those rural American counties that sold themselves to trucking distribution megasites are going to go broke again as trucking gets outsourced to Mexico. All so the big transport companies don''t have to pay state road use taxes. As if the increased allowable load weight and number of carriers per truck didn''t do enough damage to our roads and bridges, now we won''t be able to collect the funds to repair them.
Heck it can''t be any worse that what we have on the roads now. Truckers impeding the nations highways by blocking the passing lanes is at an all time high. US truckers are the worst.

This is actually a concern I do have. With the thousands of Canadian truck drivers on our highways, it seems like a virtual traffic jam no matter where you go. These highways were not made for so much traffic, and I have not seen any effort to upgrade them. I honestly believe that this increased traffic brought on by NAFTA is the actual cause of the stress on the bridge that collapsed over the Mississippi river in Minneapolis.
