- We are only just learning the incredible scope of the incompetence and corruption of the Shrub''s "efforts" in Iraq. I guess we should not be surprised given the stupidity, lies, incompetence, and deception here at home. It is a sorry commentary on our great country that we have an administration that not only cannot tolerate dissent, whether it is whistleblowers or demonstrators [e.g., see recently disclosed White House manual on how to deal with protests], but is scared whitless of it. All part of the ongoing effort of fog and balderdash. As I have advocated all along, send the Shrub, Chain-Gang, and Rummie to walk foot-patrols in Baghdad, and let them see for themselves what it is like to live the lies they have created. God bless and protect our brave troops that have to live with this scope of incompetence on a daily basis.

- seyelda - you are showing off your ignorance by writing that Jefferson Davis was a republican. Pretty much all southern pro-slavery whites at that time were Democrats. I suggest you go back to high school for some badly needed lessons on the US history.

- Americans elect these clowns, jerks, and corrupt politicians. What does that say about Americans?
My conclution is that they are uneducated and/or not sufficiently intertested to result in an informed voter. Go along with mom and pop or the status quo. The same way they learned their religious beliefs. Unchallanged. Total lack of independent thought. - Reply to this comment

- Washington Post, August 22nd, 2007, "A recent congressional report estimated that federal spending on contracts awarded without ''full and open'' competition has tripled, to $207 billion, since 2000, with a $60 billion increase last year alone."
And the truth begins to emerge about Bush''s ''war on terror.'' The real terrorist is in the white house, holding taxpayers hostage while billions are wasted on his friends in high places. What a shameful government, yet millions still drive around with this traitor''s initials on their bumpers. - Reply to this comment
