Yeah she tried though didn''''t she? Another inexperienced person with a gun. Who knows how many bullets she fired that missed it''''s target. Who knows how many bullets could have gone through the wall and hit an innocent passerby. A bullet could have hit someones child playing outside. People who own guns and don''''t know how to use them can do more harm. Even people that do know how to use them panic in situations like this and never hit their intended target.

So i guess your answer would have been for her to just lay there and let them chew her ars off? Could of, would of, should of and a buck will get you a cup of coffee. Before complaining about her lack of accuracy, try letting two pitbulls chew on you and see if you can aim straight!

Since we''re on the topic of guns and the d.e.v.e.l.o.p.m.e.n.t.a.l.l.y. r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d. (you''ve got to say it real slow for some!) people who love them...

"she had a gun, but I guess she didn''t go to the shooting range often enough.....practice makes perfect."

Actually, no, practice does not make perfect. Mistakes happen all the time. Haven''t you noticed that cops, who are trained and retrained and tested on how to use their weapons still manage to: shoot when there is no need to shoot, shoot at the wrong person, hit objects and people that they didn''t aim for, etc?

If you have a gun, by all means learn how to clean and store it and practice using it at a gun range. At least then you''ll know the general direction to point the thing. However, do not assume that having a gun will make you safe; that you%u2019ll know when to use it; that you will know what to aim at; that you will hit what you aim for and not something or someone else. Your odds of dying by gunshot actually *increase* if you own a gun.

Still, they''re real useful fer huntin'' lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

"We never saw it coming," he said. "They''re the kinds of dogs you''d let play with your babies."

Really? Maybe you idiots should read the article below before letting these animals play with your babies:

Pit bull kills 7-year-old Minneapolis boy at home
Father who went to his child%u2019s aid in the basement of their home was attacked before he shot and killed the dog.

I am an animal lover but I believe the dogs should have been shot by the police on site, they are going to be destroyed anyways. At least where I live they would be. Also the owners should be held responsible. Actually I blame the owners more than the dogs. Yes, dogs can be unpredictable but I believe it is the people that own them that make them what they are.

Nice ''end result'' if you ask me. LOL

By the way, ''banning'' a breed of dog only means no mating or taking a birth control pill.
No harm done!
Humans mauling prevented.
Dog fighting prevented.

Victims of dog mauling should hold the owners of the BEASTS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE, and exact sanction accordingly.

Blaming the dumb BEASTS is not enough: The mindless owners should additionally take full blame for damage done by their canine se.ex partners; cause I know a lot of you mate your dam dogs. DISGUSTING!

OK, give me a couple of good reasons why these dogs even exist. They are not cute; they are always in trouble and only their mothers love them. Sounds like teenagers to me.

You people that say ban the breed, shoot the dogs, kill them kill them kill them are the same hypocrits that say send Vick to prison for doing exactly what you are suggesting! Make up ur *** minds. either you want to kill em or you want to save em!! Banning the breed and euthanizing the dogs are no different than drowning, electricuting, or hanging them!!! It all brings the same end result!!

Can''t wait to hear your solution to over population ...

""We never saw it coming," he said. "They''re the kinds of dogs you''d let play with your babies."

Bull. If you own a breed like that, chaining them up due to previous trouble, you''re on notice.

These people should be charged with criminal negligence. It''s time to require at least minimum mandatory liability insurance be carried by pit bull owners, just like drivers need mandatory auto insurance.

And the "animal lover" crowd needs to explain why dogs like this should be legal, when various guns are illegal.

In face, here''s a clear instance of when a gun was used to protect human life.

Buy guns, kill pit bulls. It''s that simple.

"Besides they (PETA) also support the ALF, who are nothing more the psychotic home-grown terrorists.

You''ve got those suckers pegged mentally defective and terrorists. LOL

The PETA people are nothing but animal spirits occupying human form.

I do understand that humans should be good custodians to the plants and animals that help to make up our life-giving environment; but the mental cases who are claiming to be about the ''welfare of the animals'' should be institutionalized.
Too bad they are not in Russia, so that they could be shipped to Siberia to cool down. LOL

Every time I learn about these beasts mauling humans, I get even more pissed that we (beside being racists to the core) are persecuting Michael Vick for being involved with these dogs fighting themselves.

For mauling that woman, those BEASTS should be shot, drowned, hanged, electrocuted, have their paws pull out, have their teeth pull out, etc, etc.

The owner(s) of those BEASTS should be jailed for as long a period as he would have, had he directly committed that act to the woman.

And the GOVERNMENT SHOULD BAN the production of dogs that are bred specifically for ferocity and fighting.

Banning further mating to produce those beasts would spare humans and GREATLY REDUCE DOG FIGHTING, for which some do not have the stomach.

I wouldn''''t shoot the dogs, if those cops had, PETA would have their badges faster than any other "rights" group would.

Actually PETA is opposed to all pet ownership. They believe all animals should be free, including pets and even domesticated farm animals like dairy cows. PETA likes to act like the animal lovers friends, but they are not. Besides they also support the ALF, who are nothing more the psychotic home-grown terrorists.

I own two pitbulls. Both of my dogs are very sweet. BUT, I would NEVER leave them (or any other dog for that matter) unattended in a backyard they could get out of. This is gross negligence on the part of the dog owner. Some people should never be parents and some people should never own dogs! Pure and simple.

Here in California we''d send these dogs to a pet psychiatrist to find out if they''re depressed.
Seriously, pet owners seem to forget that these animals are carnivorous hunters, and that they have a grave responsibility for the harm they could do. Instead, it''s "Isn''t my doggie adorable? If you don''t think so, something''s wrong with YOU". My wife is afraid of dogs, they sense it, and come after her. The owner is nearly always irate when we ask them to keep the dog away from her.

Pit bull owners are a special breed of nut. It''s an in-your-face, I''m as bad as my dog(s) gesture.

Why is it that if a black man just looks cross-eyed at the police, they empty their guns into him; but if a pit bull nearly mauls a disabled woman to death, the police are careful to use pepper spray and apprehend the dog alive?

Why is Michael Vick going to prison for having pit bulls fight each other, but Zach Martin and Shellie Wilson can let their pit bulls nearly kill a human being and just say "Sorry" and expect everything to be okay?

Yes, tell me why we let pit bulls maul and kill babies, children, the disabled, and defenceless without holding the owners accountable?

"We never saw it coming," he said. "They''re the kinds of dogs you''d let play with your babies."

"play with the babies", eh? I''m just glad to realize that the odds of my kids going to your house to experience the dogs and poor parenting skills are nil.
