That's true. Besides I have two "American" cars. A Chrysler PT Cruiser and a Chevy Tracker. Both are great vehicles, but the PT is actually made in Mexico and the Tracker was made by Suzuki in Japan. Trying to "Buy American" is dam*n near impossible.

Buy used! Used clothes, used cars, used anything possible!

Older used items are better, as many of those items will most likely be made in America. Okay, so the fashion of the clothes may be slightly out of date, but only the most vain and disgusting human beings are ones who follow/strive for the latest fashions and styles.

Also, buying used items at garage/yard sales and thrift stores not only keeps the money in America, but it gives back to the people who could use it the most, (not the greedy executives at the corporations who sell us out on a daily basis).

The problem is that American companies have to pay taxes on each 'head' employed in America. They do not have to pay taxes on each 'head' if they are outsourced, which is one of the biggest benefits/incentives to outsource. If the U.S. Government was wise, they would force each American company to pay taxes on EVERY 'head' that does work for them, whether they are directly employed or outsourced, no matter where in the world they are actually working. If there were no tax advantage in outsourcing, then I'm sure many American companies would not want to risk potentially lower quality labor for little or no cost savings, (not including the wage differences).

Unions are just as corrupt and greedy as our politicians are. And, if both of them find common ground, they would both sell out the American worker in a heart beat! Case and point: Most unions have NOT come out against illegal immigrant laborers, why? Because an illegal immigrant work force is a huge boon for Union membership.

In the 80s we always heard from the CEOs of various companies that we have to do business with the Chinese because of their vast consumer base. Many of those CEOs gave such simplistic answers. Look at the population!If only 5 percent of them buy our goods, we will make Billions. Fare enough. Then we found that it was the other way round. The same CEOs exported our jobs. Now millions of Chinese are working hard to export to the USA. These greedy CEOs sold us a bill of goods. Americans are the worst enemies of the Americans.
