First, since this happened, I've thought that it wasn't caused by the construction crew on the bridge or that is wasn't from lack of maintainence. There's more to this than is being released and the presence of the FBI confirms that those "in the know" know it.
Second, the bridge should not be built the same way. Too many commercial trucks use that span of highway. It would be much better to split the directions onto different bridges so that you don't have 8 lanes of mostly commercial trucks sitting on the bridge for so long in traffic.
Third, where did the government get that $250 million? It better not have come from the Social Security pool...
