why is there so much speculation as to whether this is gang related or not? When the family was butchered in Ct. did we suddenly assign it to being a gang related crime or did we just say they were criminals looking for money? Some of you need to check your lenses and look at what's really going on.

You make a good point, only a small fraction of crimes make the News, but your point is slanted against Blacks because the same can be said against Whites, many White crimes against Blacks are definitely not reported in the News or ignored by the Police even when they are reported which is even worst and even worst than that is the Police themselves committing crimes against Blacks!

When the News Media reported this story they reported these people were stood up against the wall and executed Gangster style. The New Media injected the word "Gangster" so that expression implies Gang related.

You obviously missed the simplicity of the point I was making. If a person of color deviates in any way from a group of whites they will stick out, and as a result may of may not be treated differently because of it, plain and simple, it doesn't matter why or what part of Africa they may have come from. One of the points Senator Barak Obama makes when asked which side of his culture does he express, Obama points out that he expresses both sides, but that since he looks Black he's treated like he's Black! Your point about a Black looking White makes my point even further because then they blend in and won't have to deal with those issues.

I have one thing to say good kids or bad, white, black, hispanic or pink, rich, poor, ghetto, or mid -class, these youngsters did not deserve to die like that. Especially at their age they were just starting to live.
